An amazing deal discovered earlier. RRP $429 on this if you check Australian retailers - less than half price via Amazon US. Enjoy!

UPDATE: I ordered two, have just received them. They are not affected by the current Sony recall.

    • If they are old stock, they could be - would be quite underhanded of Amazon to do this, but I guess it would be a means to get rid of stock quickly.

Regardless, Sony AU should replace under warranty.

      • This is from Amazon US, will sony AU replace a US model?

        • Not sure on that. But if they won't, Amazon US will have to issue a replacement.

    • thanks for the info, just found out my sd card has been recalled

    • I bought this a few months ago and it was impacted stock.

    Definitely a quality card.

But personally if you need these kind of speeds for video you're much better off buying an external recorder like the ninja v and using ssd's to record.

You might spend more money upfront but the benefit of superior codecs, an insanely bright monitor plus much cheaper and faster ssd storage are huge benefits.

I guess there are plenty of use cases for this card if you don't want to carry extra gear and you're in an environment which demands high quality durability and reliability.

  • FYI don't forget to check your device memory card compatibility before getting this. 128gb is usually norm devices will use unless specified otherwise.

  • UPDATE: I have just received my cards. Both are not affected by this recall issue. Thought I would confirm for you guys!
