[Pre Order] Kogan 27" Curved Full HD 240hz FreeSync Gaming Monitor (1920 × 1080) $349 + Freight (Free with First) @ Kogan

110

This is a great bargain especially considering that this is a 27 inch model. Typically these will cost upwards of $500 to $600 for a good quality 240hz monitor highly recommend this for anyone on the market for a new gaming monitor.

  • The VA panel and 6ms response time probably won't work well for competitive shooters but for general gaming this could be good, if the panel and build quality are decent.

90% out 100% member here are competitive so it won't sell. That is sad #profanity

      • +1

pretty sure its the opposite since IPS and VA are all the rage here

u do know 1ms vs 5ms or whatever is fake/artifical

      It's all garbage nonsense.

Wow, no Kogan branding. It's funny how much more likely that would make me to buy it, if I was in the market for such a monitor.

  • This "first thing" doesn't apply to some regional areas like Darwin! (??) That's sucks

  • bought IPS panel 144mhz on AOC brand at the same price.

    • Don't forget you would have got a free steam voucher as well (if you got it recently).

      Link please

    • 144mhz Not equal to 240hz.

      • Hardly makes a difference, unless you have a high spec graphics card, in which case you wouldnt buy this because monitor because of slow response time.

        • +1

Depends on the game, wouldnt take too beefy a card for a lot of esports tittles like dota, rocket league or overwatch

    • Not 240hz lol

  • Not trying to hijack the thread, but are there any current 27inch,1440p,144hz IPS budget monitor options? The viewsonic seems to be the best value right now but it's still around that $500 mark

  • Looking to do a triple monitor setup for my sim racing rig. Any thoughts on these monitors suitability? They look pretty good to me, but I don't have the greatest knowledge of exactly what I'm looking for.

If no good, any recommendations on others? Looking to do 3 x 1080 monitors with the smallest bezels possible and am trying to keep the cost for the 3 monitors to around $1k (less if at all possible).

    • Depends how necessary a high refresh rate is for gaming these would most likely be more than adequate but you could save some money if 240hz is not needed for the games you play. as well you would need a powerful system to run 3 1080p monitors gaming at 240hz so you would definitely save a lot by going with 144hz monitors

      • do you even need 144hz for sim racing ?

      • Ah, good point. 240hz is probably a bit overkill. Yeah, even 144hz might not be necessary.

        • 100hz is fine for iracing. Infact optimal.

    • $1k

      49" super ultrawide 32:9

      acer/kogan/samsung

      • All above 1k

        • i've seen them 999

currently acer 1199 , and that's RRP without sales

and OP asks for "around $1k" , so yeah

          • @dcep: I would grab the 43 inch Lenovo or Asus. Better DPI. Asus is around this price but Lenovo is expensive now.

      • As much as I like the Ultrawides, they still don't QUITE have the span of 3 x 27 inch monitors… I don't think.

  • +2

LOL, FHD on 27inch isn't "breathtaking resolution"

    • it made you laugh taking breath away from you

  • The refresh rate in the description says

    Refresh Rate 140Hz

wtf?? is it 240 or 140hz

edit: Assuming 240hz cause it is advertised like 5 times

  • Do u think this will sellout fast and they'll bump up the price??

I think they will and the stock will run out.

  • I have a question for anyone else that has bought this monitor or knows the answer to this question. What does the button that looks like a light bulb do? It's not explained at all in the manual and I can't seem to notice any difference when I press it or hold it for any length of time.
