Nice, but for 219 bucks more you'll be able to get the 5th gen in a few weeks (and that's rrp, will likely be cheaper).
Incorrect. It is still going to be the 4th gen, but with the RRP dropped to $219. White model is introduced. Also with iOS 5. It is still the same CPU/GPU and if you read carefully, you would notice Siri support is not available - hence re-confirm it is actually still the 4th gen. It also does not make sense for Apple to release a new gen of iPod touch before the new gen of iPhone.
With the white model announced, it looks like iPod Touch 5th gen will not be released for at least a few more months. My guess would be early 2012.
Won't be until at least May 2012 if Apple decides that the Prime and SGS3 will be too big a competitor against the iPhone and release the iP5 then. But there's no rush on a new iPod touch so probably won't see a new one until September next year, there are no other touch screen mp3 players out there that compete with any impact with the Touch (there will be once someone releases a dual core mp3 player or one that runs off android, but that's not gonna happen, it's all in the tablets now)
Apple stores will price match I reckon. They generally match other retail store's price.
