Great, just received the switch today, should make kids fun tonight.

I am waiting for delivery for the switch I purchased yesterday - I tried to grab this deal from my newly created account and it is giving error asking to log in to my account on the switch itself. Any ideas?
You have to link your Nintendo account with the Switch itself before you can purchase via the website.
If you have a friend with a Switch, get them to create a temporary profile on theirs and login with your Nintendo account. You can then purchase yourself via PC browser (your account just needs to be tied to a Switch first as silverrat23 mentioned).
Your friend can delete your account of their Switch afterwards.
