Sweet. Don’t need Doom Eternal anymore…

Hmm, that's one "Doomed" Space Marine….

      • Was that a quote from this game? Or just the line Duke used in the DLC for Bulletstorm, because that's where I heard it and also why I want to play this game now as I'm too young to have played it when it released.

        • Yo, someone running into Duke from Bulletstorm? That's sick, dude. I love it.

I got into it from Duke Forever. Buuuuut I was far too poor to have a current gen console, so when it was in the pre-release window I ended up downloading 3D onto my shitty laptop in year 9 I think it was. Loved it. While I thoroughly enjoy Duke Forever, had I played it first I might not have bothered to go back to 3D.

Bulletstorm is aces too tbh. Play them both and a quick rewatch of Army of Darkness and you've got a good weekend.

I was thinking to pass on this but then I saw the trailer and nostalgia kicked in:

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

HAIL TO THE (profanity) KING, BABY!

    • I was wondering when you were going to chime in with your quotes. 😁

        Damn, you're lookin' good. ;)

  • Groovy!

  • Unleashing an array of armory onto a horde of porcine represented police… probably an activity a lot are up for right now

  • It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum, but i'm allllll outtaa gum.

FYI: That line was taken from John Carpenter's 'They Live.'

I'm not sure how many times the Universe wants me to buy this game…

  • Can you play online against other players?

    • the trailer the guy posted above contains a line that says it has "ad-hoc multiplayer", whatever that is

I says in the eshop link:
      Number of Players: 1
Number of Players (Local Wireless): 2 - 8
      Number of Players (Online): 2 - 8

  • Come get some!

Oh god… the memories of going to the home of my alcoholic neighbours so I could play this on their Pentium 1 with all the adult filters disabled.

  • Oh baby. So what does this include? Just a re-release of Duke Nukem 3D plus some sort of fifth episode?

  • Tried replaying this on PC about 2 years back, it definitely wasn't optimised for PC's of today, the game was insanely difficult because the AI never missed, most likely to do with clock speeds and the mod community trying to get the balance right.

  • It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum!

  • My local video store had the game for hire.Such a great game.

  • Would love to see more remastered Build engine games on the Switch… I need my BLOOD fix on the move!

    • Not a remaster, but have you played Ion Fury? 2019 release made in Build Engine. I think the physical just released today actually

      • Yeah played that on PC when it came out! Great game. Technically impressive for the engine, too.

    • It's not Build though it plays and feels very similar to Build games, but I would love if the next old school Star Wars re-release was Dark Forces. Somewhere between Doom and Duke in terms of like level designs and interactivity and whatnot. Great game though, even better before Last Jedi came along though. That's right, Last Jedi (profanity) Kyle Katarn a LOT more than Rogue One redoing everything he did but with new people.

  • Gutted I missed this!
Hope it goes down again someday

    • I'm sure it will considering it launched at such a discount

      • True.

Hey, thanks for all your posts.
I just got a switch today πŸ‘

Glad if I could help :)
Remember to use www.dekudeals.com to help find good games at low prices from the eshop. You can sort by metacritic score and price amongst other things that the official eshop won't let you do.

Also recommend picking up Death Squared and Super One More Jump as they're both under $2 at the moment, and by the same Aussie developer
