  • eyeing on this, but can't tell the difference between this and https://www.shavershop.com.au/panasonic/5-blade-shaver-01048…
One in shavershop dropped to $199 in the past, waiting for that deal :/

  • Will this work well for the noggin ?

It’s got a stubble sensor, if your head has stubble I guess it can sense that too :P

Bought one when I was in Japan last year and boy it was worth it. IMO this has the most nimble head & blade system to easily follow the contour of my face. The two roller "pins" on the blade helps stretches the skin for a closer shave and sorta prevents me from applying too much pressure onto the shave head.

The cleaning station has also a "clean & dry" function. Since it's my first shaver with cleaning station, the only benefit that I noticed was it got rid of the "musky" smell when I didn't dry the shaver after a wet shave.

  • How do these compare to using a straight razor?

I own this , it's the best shaver Iv'e ever used , and Iv'e had plenty of high end shavers over the years . Combine this with a few drops of King of Shaves Advanced Shave Oil from Woolies, and the result is as close as a blade.

Nice one, was just looking at replacing my ES-LA93. Personally I would not bother with the cleaning station. You have to pay for cleaning refils. Hot water with some hand soap works fine to clean it.Came across this review https://www.gadgetguy.com.au/product/panasonic-es-lv6q-and-e…

    • Yep agree with this. I personally ordered the 6q

I was on the fence and ended up getting the 9Q only because of build and feel. 9Q is an all metal finish whereas the 6Q is plastic. Complete personal preference for aesthetics and feel but just so you know that they aren't the exact same device if you guys thought they were the same but just one is cleaning stationless.

I didn’t realise that. Thanks for the extra info. You are correct. The 6Q has a metallic coating, whereas the 9Q has a metal body.
