I have used my Switch in Handheld only mode even since I've owned it (about 2 years now).
I wanted to look into buying a controller to use for games on my TV.
Can anyone recommend a decent controller for okay price? I just don't know what is good to buy.
I prefer Wired if possible, so if anyone knows a decent controller and has a decent length on the cable, like 2-3 metres,
I'd really appreciate it.
Does Anyone Know Where to Get a Decent Switch Controller for Reasonable Price?

I was looking for a regular controller. I appreciate it though.
I see all these but don't know which ones seem like the best buy. I'll throw you a few.

Any difference in performance/quality worth noting?
Most of the controllers you see for the Switch are actually made by third party companies.
If you don't want an extra set of joy-cons, then I recommend getting the official Nintendo pro controller
https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/nintendo-switch/217630-ni…It costs the most but it is very well built, and very comfortable to use.
As for prices, $79 at Amazon, $89 at most stores, and $99 at EBGames.
Is there a reason why you want it to be wired? Wireless controllers work very well and have really good battery life now (and you can just plug it back in after each use so you always have a battery charge).
Highly recommend this.
Been using it for the past month for BotW and it makes a big difference playing long hours.
Funny story though I got my pro controller from a lady who said her ex left it behind after leaving abruptly and never coming back. She thought it was an xbox controller LOL
She sold it for $30 to me and it was barely used.
Be careful of fakes as well if you buy it from another website.
Alternative is to use XBOX or PS controllers if you have them, but you'll need to get an adapter. Adapter is about $25 compared to $70ish for a Nintendo pro controller.
I too only play my switch in handheld and it was a struggle to go and play it on the TV. I think I just got too used to my hands being apart at the switch console width, such that I felt cramped when I went back to normal controller (for TV).
Some Fight/Battle style controllers on sale at EB were posted this morning, but are missing some functionality compared to the regular controller.
