Hmm I was also about to buy this, but I'm wondering if it's a knock off? The shop selling it is called "Affordable and Beautiful Shop" based in China and they have only one review..

@equinoxxx: I am also suss on it being a knock off. Will check it out when it arrives and just get a refund if not genuine. Amazon not supposed to allow any counterfeit merchandise.
@Shaneeo: I ordered one, definitely a knock off. I complained to Amazon and they advised the seller would contact me, they emailed me and told me it was genuine but I could return it but I have to pay for postage to China. I emailed Amazon again and complained considering it’s a risk to babies and definitely counterfeit, they’ve advised they will pay for postage but I have to wait to hear from the seller. Otherwise they will refund me completely by July 18th. It was too good to be true! Plus the seller has now increased the price
@Millicentbee: I received this item last week. It only took one week from purchase to delivery, which was a lot faster than the 6-8 week timeframe quoted on amazon.
The post pack had a Melbourne return address on it so not sure if it’s the same seller? Mine was from “Affordable and Beautiful Shop” on amazon marketplace.
As far as the item, I am 99% sure that the one I received is genuine. Would be keen to hear what made you conclude yours is a fake?
The quality seems good, all materials and stitching top quality, and all tags etc look legit with even a serial number on one of the tags. Even includes a good quality printed instruction booklet.
What else can I check to determine real or fake?
@Shaneeo: Sorry, only just seen this. It was definitely from the same seller, i felt that the fabric and the stitching was sub par and it just felt cheap to me. Also the fact it didn’t come in the box was a big red flag, apparently that’s a big indication it’s fake. I saw some reviews on Amazon from people who contacted ergobaby with the serial code on the label and they confirmed it was counterfeit. I’ve got a newborn, so I just can’t bring myself to use a product to carry him around when I don’t know if I can trust it.
