[eBay Plus] Gigabyte 5700 XT Gaming OC $658.56 Delivered @ Flashforwardtech eBay

250
PMON20

Fantastic value for the 5700 XT. This is also a really decent version as well (better than the cheaper XFX version, for example).

Also comes with a bonus 480GB SSD, which is probably worth around ~$80-100, so if you're building a system, this plus the 3900X for $620-ish from the other deal will be a fantastic base for a ~$1700 PC.

Weren't these a hundred dollars cheaper at the start of the year? I grant you thinks aren't going to be well priced right now, but spare us the superlatives.

    • There was a single deal for $556 through FTC computers which we all know how dodgy they were. The next cheapest was $612 (without any ssd)

      • UMart did a similar deal for an ASUS triple fan card in March.

No. The only deal for "a hundred dollars cheaper" was the FTC computers deal, but most who bought from FTC never actually got their orders fulfilled and the company went bust soon after the deals they posted in January (which seemed to be a cash grab as they were in liquidity problems).

There were other deals which were close to the low 600's, but without any bonus SSD and some were the ASUS TUF 5700XT, which has widely documented issues with the cooler not making proper contact with the DRAM modules causing them to overheat and throttle the performance of the GPU.

      but spare us the superlatives

Funny because you're the ones making the superlatives, "$100 cheaper".

      • I've decided… p1 ama is the winner, on this very important debate of the inter-webs.

        But:

Superlative = (of an adjective or adverb) expressing the highest or a very high degree of a quality

(p1 ama) Fantastic value for the 5700 XT. This is also a really decent version as well (better than the cheaper XFX version, for example).

          Eh, you're alright :P

Seems this is about the same as a Nvidia 2060 Super. Why would you go for this over the nvidia, when the nvidia is cheaper?

    • +11

Its about the same as a 2070 Super.

      • https://www.techspot.com/review/1902-geforce-rtx-2070-super-… It is about 6% slower, but I am getting different numbers on different sites. I guess it is similar to 2070 super but for over $100 cheaper.

Too bad it is so damn huge, it won't work in any of the SFF cases I am looking at.

        • It will fit in a TU150 which is small enough for me!

      The 2060 Super for $599 is a decent deal, but this is closer to a 2070 Super than a 2060 Super. From memory it's around 9 - 10% faster than a 2060 Super and around 5 - 6% slower than a 2070 Super.

A rx5700 beats a 2060 super easily, and it's a lot cheaper. No point comparing that card to a xt model.

Says like $800 for me, plus why get this when amazon has a better deal.. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07WC7683C/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i…

    • Don't get the ssd with this one

Plus 3 year warranty from gigabyte,
I pull the trigger, and now my 10%off ebay gift cards all finished.

  • I'm getting one like this with latest Techfast build - hopefully, it will arrive this week to give a real work out. cough cough calls in sick from work.

  • This is a better purchase in my opinion… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/543722

      How? $648, so $10 cheaper and you don't get a 480GB SSD?

  • I bought this graphics card recently and it is great value for money, ~120 FPS in COD MW ( high settings) . No issues .

    • more like 6% with newer benchmarks using newer drivers

    • Comparisons are games dependent as well. I see lots of variation between reviews and games. Sometimes 5700XT equals or flat out better than 2070S, sometimes it's just about 2070 level. Best to find reviews on specific games you play (preferably reviews done recently for new drivers). But pretty sure no way 2070S is 14% faster than 5700XT, probably that's the worst case scenarios.

    • We should apply the Reddit rules - anybody quoting Userbenchmark should be immediately banned.

      https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/2522?vs=2516

This is a more reliable/trusted source. The benchmarks are actually clear. Basically, as pointed out before, the 2070S is (at most) a few % faster than the 5700 XT.

  • got the card today, SSD have to be redeemed through GIGABYTE website (seller was helpful with the instructions)
