Good timing. I bought so many last time that the remaining ones went out of date a few weeks ago. Time to load up again…
how many?
I lost 4 x 6 packs to time out. Bought nearly a year's supply last time. I think it was about 20 packs I bought last time they were on sale.
I would have plowed on through them. Did they taste bad?
@jackwoz: Change of jobs and working from home, kids not at school. Just didn't drink many in the last 3 months.
I thought they would still be ok only a month out of date… Nope, couldn't be more wrong.
@pegaxs: They should be ok years after the BB date - they are aseptic.
@upsidedownlemon: Well, the three I opened smelled manky and one had turned to what could only be described as runny cream. I didn't run the risk in the rest and just binned the lot. I don't want to be on the way to work in the car, drive the straw in and get a mouth of rancid milk flavoured gloop
@pegaxs: Interesting - how were they stored?
@upsidedownlemon: They last packs were stored in the back of the kitchen pantry. Were stored in a pretty humidity and temperature stable area. They were never refrigerated or stored any other way than just in the pantry as they were unloaded from the car.
@pegaxs: What thoughts have you had on these in terms of health? do you drink these for protein or something else? blood results ok?
@HangryCakeStore: Christ, I don't drink that many of them. I drink them on the rare occasion where I CBF making breakfast before I leave the house. It's also other people in the house that partake in them from time to time as well, so I am not consuming them all alone.
I also buy them to donate to my local school for kids who, through no fault of their own, are sent to school without breakfast.
As for blood tests… for what?
