Good price if you need it now.
I purchased a few SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB SD cards a couple of years ago for ~$60.
Anyway for the ones who need an SD card now and do not have a time machine, it is a very good deal.

    • Did you buy it locally or online?

      • Online. And once it was all the way from the USA.

Yeah doesn't seem that cheap. I always find buy only when you need it otherwise you will see the same size for half the price when you do get around to using it lol

since when did it get to $50 for 256GB?

        • +1

I do not think that it has ever been so low.
But there were a cuople of times for the last two years when it was around $60.

just a little note, these are not fast enough to get the best performance out of many high-end cameras.

they aren't suitable for 400mbps video and you'll fill your buffer at least a couple of seconds earlier when shooting at your max continuous high setting on a lot of cameras.

need the 300MB/s variant to get the best of the best.

    • Very true, however I would wager that anyone who actually requires over 300MB/s recording already knows this.

      • MB/s or mbps ?
They are not the same guys but have been mentioned in the same context.
        My understanding is that
        10MB/s or 80mbps.

        • Correct, my mistake, can't edit my post anymore. 1 Megabyte (MB) = 8 Megabits (Mb)
