Interesting - please explain the 'door' technique for removing wax… I assume slamming is involved? :)
Haha. Typo
Issue for me that goes for a few weeks a year, is that phantom is very sticky when you're trying to take off, or going at a slow speed. I already hate cat tracks..
I haven't heard too much on this, but I agree that would suck. I'm almost tempted to have a rub-on wax with me for that very reason.
Read about this a couple of years ago, level nine offer to apply this as an extra option on some of their skis. Wondering how hard this is to apply.
It's a treatment that binds into the base material, provided in two packs like an epoxy. It is UV activated/cured, so you need to ensure that you have somewhere that can get good light without risking foreign contaminants getting onto the base while you are waiting on it. https://www.dpsskis.com/phantom-glide
Thanks nezumi. Interested in this product, but their FAQ does not endorse it for nordic skis, which would be my application, so going to skip it for now.
Nice one. Heard about this in Niseko this year so for $80 I had to give it a crack. Not quite sure how I will remove the base wax from my board but sure I will door it out!
