Dying Hair - Completely Lost Track

Hey!
I've been messing up with my hair alot lately, bleached, dyed , dyed, dyed again, all too soon too frequently , not the first time. It has gone downhill :(
Ontop of everything, i've gotten very sick and extremely dehydrated - and it showed.

I've been struggling to repair my hair and I'm not sure how to proceed, I'm afraid of continuously buying more and more hair products and getting the same results.

I have my go-to products that I know they work, but they're across the sea I've checked everywhere, there's no getting a hold of them :(

any ideas? :(
I've already tried different lineups and I spent alot of money very quickly - so before I rush into trying more "AMAZZZZING!" products , I was hoping maybe some of y'all have any tips and tricks… :(

Medium hair, not too thick or too thin , dry, frizzy, naturally wavy.

Don't wash it for a week or 2 and let your natural oils get back into it. Then maybe start with dry shampoo to clean if it gets too greasy.

    • Hey!
Thanks! I'll keep it in mind. Tho for me it's scary since I don't style my hair too much it can become an actual mess.
Tho I'll definitely keep that in mind.

      Thanks!

Shave it off, you won't even have to buy shampoo.

Stop with the hair dye. Let your hair grow out and trim off the damage ends every couple of months.

Last time I bleached parts of my hair , I ended up with rough straw like hair, 10 splits in 1 strand, freaked me out. Hair mask, trimming ends and time helped.

    • I feel for you.
      Luckily hasn't gotten this bad.

      Thank you 🙏💜

Try some one of the Garnier Hair Food as a leave in, maybe once or twice a week. Really gives a lot of hydration.

You could also try some oils, coconut, castor, argon all seem to be good and hydrating.

    • Brilliant!
Never heard of that lineup gonna pickup a whole bunch tomorrow! Love you.

    STOP IT NOW!!!
Do not dye… let your natural hair grow out… Then seek out a professional hair stylist… Just for the one time listen and learn from experience … Simples. 😊

Yeah no more dying for this poor head of mine! Ironically enough. Was naturally brown, now I'm back on brown dye 🐤

      • Yeah been there… I've made a bigger mess trying to fix my initial messes… Grow your natural hair out and learn from someone who knows how to treat your natural hair with respect. Takes time but pays off in the end… Trust me 🥰

        • My hair used to be my biggest baby, I splurged on it blindlessly and I was super happy with it.
Until I got bored, then everything just went downhill from there :(

What products work for you overseas? Maybe we can help reccomend based on that.

    • One of them is the best shampoo I've used , it's completely off the radar, called "BYOU" , it's a very concentrated high content keratin shampoo. By high I mean like , ingredients go: water , keratin 🙄

I got a picture of the ingredients, honestly it's the only thing that made my hair feel alive soft silky etc etc

      Pictures attached 🙏

      • D*mn, I wouldn't mind a bottle or two of that myself!

        • Literally nothing made my hair this soft.
It is so freaking good , the moment it goes on your hair it lathers beautifully, and it leaves your hair feeling like the softest thing in the world , you could step out the shower without a conditioner 😭😭😭

          I miss it.

          • @The Milk Man: Odd they left their web presence but dropped off the globe, as you said? Wouldn't be the first time. Probably got picked up by some super-expensive brand just waiting for the contract ink to dry.

            • @Geekomatic: Its from a little country in the middle east :( , its a local brand and they do what they do great. I wish there was a way to search for products by ingredients. Their formula is amazing.

I haven't seen any of their products online at all :/
              I'm always looking tho!

  • ozBARGAIN would be the last place i would be getting hair tips from

  • I've been struggling to repair my hair and I'm not sure how to proceed

    leave it alone?

    • it brought it on itself

  • Try Kevin Murphy products? (I've seen some travel sized bottles to try on ebay etc). Its pretty pricey, but really good - the repair line has absolutely changed my hair. (Dont need to use much, so will last a while).

    • I actually find a stockist to ship me the products abroad! 🎉🎉🎉🎉

      hooray for rescuing my hair.
