What are the good yet not too expensive tablets for kids?
Something with a good quality screen and not too slow when changing screens etc

Android is what we have in the house.
Currently have iFive m4s tablet and really happy with it. So 8" is OK. Kids are 5 and 3.
Price is more important than all updates. But screen quality is even more important. Current iFive tablet is 2K screen and would not want to go down in quality - no 1024 screens please =)

Who cares if a 5 or 3 year old uses a low res tablet
Good <> Too expensive. If you want a good screen then you will pay for it.
Get a second hand iPad Pro first gen. My 3 year old is using one and the screen quality top notch. Still have 90% battery life.
Not sure when it's coming to Australia but the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is worth checking out
got a galaxy tab a 10.1 for $215
Seems to be best bang for $ at the moment

It all depends. What is your budget? How old are your kids? Do you want smaller, easy to hold tablets or larger ones? Do you have an ecosystem already (Apple OS vs. Android Vs. Winblows.) Is cost more important than features and updates?
