Simply log in to GTA Online on PS4 each month to receive $1,000,000 in-game currency per month. This is valid until the second half of 2021. So if you log in every month at least once, you'll get at least $12,000,000 in game currency which is worth around $137 real money

PlayStation Plus members on PlayStation 4 will get GTA$1,000,000 (deposited into their in-game Maze Bank account within 72 hours of log-in) each month they play GTA Online until the launch of GTA Online on PlayStation 5.

Rockstar Games are releasing a stand alone version of Grand Theft Auto Online which will be releasing on next gen consoles in the second half of 2021. PS5 owners will be able to play this for free fo the first 3 months after its launch.

    People need to stop supporting this game so rockstar can finally start working on GTA 6.

        Skyrim (Legacy) (X360, PS3, PC)
        Skyrim Special Edition (XONE, PS4, PC,Switch) (Some may consider Switch to be a seperate release.)
        Skyrim VR(PS4,PC.)

        This will put GTA V at the same amount of releases, untill Bethesda port skyrim to next gen of course.

      True. When this was announced yesterday I just can't believe that they're still going to work on a game initially realesed on PS3. That's two GENERATIONS ago! Not two years ago!

      You mean people keep willingly paying them billions of dollars for virtual cash… Rockstar are doing the one reason they exist to do, make money, I don't blame them. I blame the consumers.

      GTA6 is definitely coming, it's probably just not ready yet. Maybe another couple years.

            @Hybroid: GTA V first came out at the end of the PS3 lifecycle. I remember this because I got it then. Never finished it and got it again when it was relatively cheap on the PS4.

            I will NOT buy it again on the PS5. I don't play online so I'm not supporting that crap. At this rate GTA VI will be released in 2030.

              GTA6 will probably be 2023-2024.

    why burn yourself out on the game on the PS4. Save it for the PS5 version and play something else in the meantime. GTA Online is not a good experience.

      not worth the effort.. if youre gonna pay might aswell hold off and pay for shark cards… assuming you get every $1m drop between now and release next year thatd only be ~$10m… thats really not a lot of money in this game. Its enough to get you started but its a long grind to get to a comfortable level… lots of the grinding missions require you to transport cargo which other people can hijack… and everyone thats cheated or is just griefing will come at you with their hydras or whatever overpowered vehicle "just for fun"… only way to enjoy this game these days is if youre cheating, this gimmick of a drop does (profanity)…

          It’s the same gta 5, it’s not new at all. Also I’m pretty sure the PS5 has backwards compatibility so you can just play the PS4 version. So no need to call it gta 6 which in development anyway. Rockstar just wants to milk this cow dry.

            @Bissy: They want to milk it to high heaven. It doesn't really make much sense when you can just play the PS4 version on your PS5 like you said. A triple A game is usually in development for 4-5 years so by the time GTA 6 comes out, we could have had GTA 6 and GTA 7.

            I wish more game developers were like CDPR. I can't wait for Cyberpunk 2077 and the next Witcher game.

              @driew: Yeah, it sucks that Rockstar doesn't release games as often as they used to. During the PS2 era we had GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas all come out in the 2000s. I know that game development is longer now than it used to be, but the fact that we didn't get a new GTA this generation is sad.

                @Bissy: We had the awesome RDR2 which took many many years of development (and it shows) and would have pushed back the next GTA. It's good to let people take a break and do something different for a while to maintain creative flow.

                GTAV is being remastered with 'technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements' to make use of the new hardware capability. Yet to see what that translates in real life but it's likely going to be significant overhaul especially with raytracing. They also said it was 'expanded' which might mean new content coming, but we'll see. I don't care for GTA: Online but interested to see how they improve the core game and would be good to give it another play through.

                GTA6 is inevitably on the way but will be another couple years. Maybe in time for PS5 Pro.

                Also, Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for over 8 years… Time is needed for perfection instead of rushing the annual CoD/Assassins Creed.

                  @Hybroid: I'm not suggesting yearly releases like the sports games, COD, etc. Its just that Rockstar has been slow with development of their games because of the amount of money they make from GTA 5. GTA 6 will come out of course with the rumors of it in development already. If you look at all their perivous games released they would've different types of games like Bully, Midnight Club, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3 come out. But in this generation they had one, which I know was massive.

                  It feels like they don't want make a variety of games under their name anymore, but instead continue support their cash cow. Anyway, I can't wait til GTA 6 comes out.

                  @Hybroid: It may have been in development for 8 years but Witcher 3 first came out in 2015 so Cyberpunk coming out in 2020 is only a 5 year wait between games from the same company.

                  I understand that Rockstar also made RDR2 in 2018 but they're a much larger company. Their resources could have gone into making GTA VI but instead they're just milking GTA V.

    When the ps5 reveal video started with GTA 5 I was super confused. They were showing footage from the game like it was a brand new release. Rockstar have no shame at all entering the 5th generation.

    The new Spider-Man is just a DLC expansion and to get it I have to buy a likely quite expensive re-release, and GTA Online sucks anyway (profanity) it.

        At first I thought so, then one of the dudes from Insomniac described it as "an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game" so I don't know. Expansion is easy enough, but enhancement kind of implies it will be a Left Behind DLC for Last of Us situation wherein you get the DLC via buying a re-release.

        Though Left Behind was standalone too, hopefully that's the case here, but their wording is very weird.

    I loved the GTA V single player campaign; is GTA Online any good? I just got Playstation Plus (30% off yearly sub deal) primarily for the cloud saves but also to play online.
