Checked out Airasia and they have Syd to Bangkok via KL for $240 after the 20th of December. I think I can reschedule if the flights don’t go ahead still cannot leave Oz. AA charges around $50 to reschedule. Anyone else considering this?
Anyone booking flights to SE Asia in December
Comments
Yeah, def right.
We have outbound flights already booked to KL / Singapore over Xmas & New Year although these were booked before Covid19 kicked off. I was going to wait for a Big Red sale around September time to see about booking my inbound flights & see what restrictions are still in place.
Although I am still skeptical of being able to travel over Xmas, I feel when things start to open up, it will happen very fast & flights / hotel prices will increase fast due to the amount of Chinese tourists wanting to travel again throughout SE Asia.
On the plus side, many of the big luxury hotels around SE Asia are offering very good rates around Xmas & also offering 24hr before arrival cancellation so worth booking up some accommodation while the prices are good & then if the price comes down more then can just cancel / re-book. If unable to travel then no lose…….just don't forget to cancel haha.
Hopefully your flights will go ahead. You may have more chance flying direct to SNG than KL. I note that SA have began flights to NZ as well so things are opening up.
Think almost all destination s will be totally unrestricted by September. They simply have to be. Massive over reaction to corona.
Japan might not be SE Asia but spending big bucks on advertising travel to Japan at end of year.
If you read my new post about
Poms enticing yanks by September, it makes you realise why all our state borders and borders to places like NZ and Pacific islands should be open already.
Corona is only effecting the vulnerable.
Catch is, we've all been fed this nonsense about how deadly it is for everyone.
$50 change fee + price difference in ticket i think?
