Nitecore Concept 2 LED Flashlight US$148.95 / ~A$215 (Was US$199.95) + Free Delivery @ FastTech

MAP

I've been watching out for this torch to come down to a reasonable price for a while. Best I've seen is $264.94 at deals2mall, or $344.90 at Snowys Outdoors for AUS stock.

Super bright 6500 lumen output with 400m throw, which states 30 min battery at highest output.

I recommend the Australia Expedited Air shipping for the additional $3.99.

Also Cashrewards has 3.5% cashback for a single transaction available.

    Non-user replaceable batteries?

    • I think you can if you're technically minded, the batteries inside are imr18650 3100mah 35a. really nice, and when the torch dies like mine did when i dropped it, you can salvage the batteries out of it.

  • Looks like a good price for a beast of a torch. Curious though, what will you use this for?

      seeing things in the dark.

Not sure you need the eye of Sauron for that!

        • +1

takes a lot to light up Mordor.

I’ll be using this when out on property, it might be overkill but I’d prefer to be over prepared than underprepared. The throw itself will be very useful.

    • A topic of conversation with other torch enthusiasts.

Better make sure it doesn't switch on in your bag! :)

      So it's a 2-in-1 device - a torch and a heater.

      • So hot it requires a baseball glove to hold it.

        • is that what she said?

"it's really really not freiggin good"

  • That thing must be a beast, I got one of these for hiking purposes:

And even that would literally light up the entire beach at night, its equivalent to the MIB pew pew gun.

  • Tempted! Looking for a new torch at the moment and was about to get a Ledlenser..

Do not do that. There are soooo many better options. Do you want distance or a wall of light

      • Possibly a combination of both let's say a wall of light up to 50m-100m as the priority?

Do you have a recommendation for that? Was looking around the 400-1000 lumens range.

        Thanks!

        • There are quite a few options, but it really depends on the battery type you are looking to use. AA, AAA or the better lithium ion 18650 etc?

          • @Pixie13: I don't think I mind, just prefer direct rechargeable if possible, else will just need to use eneloops and recharge them manually.

            Budget preferably under $150?

            • @Devil: astrolux ft03 with a keeppower 26650. It is a thrower, but has a big spill battery and torch about $100 delivered. I have this light, impressive

            • @Devil: Should read big spill. Battery and torch $100 delivered

              • @Pixie13: Thanks! It looks great, just checking out the videos of it now.

Where did you get it from? I can't seem to see anyone that stocks it locally.

Do you know how long it lasts on max?

              • @Pixie13: BTW, did you get the SST40 (2400lms) or the HP50.2 (4300lms) model of this?

  • MH20GT.

    • I second this. great all rounder, enough spill, 260m range, usb charging. Great choice, ive been using this for a while now and its a very capable unit.

  • Warning. They had not sent item for 2 months and still are dragging along the paypal dispute process. scummy move

    • are you sure? they have been around on OzBargain as long as I remember (2016?) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/285345

international shipping is shit these days, guess you didn't buy anything much(required international shipping) in the last 2 months?

      • Yes. It's unfortunate as they have not sent the item, and the last day of the ebay dispute they posted a tracking number that isn't valid..and this is 2 months + after it was meant to be sent…

        • +1

pretty sure it's stuck due to civilian airlines restriction, couldn't do anything with it
only the more expensive shipping such as DHL (with Cargo planes) get shipped quick

if you want to PM me the tracking number and maybe I could dig out more info for you

          • @davidl2: No. they didn't even send it until the last day of the paypal dispute in month 2… They are simply trying to force the sale and dragging out the dispute process… Lesson learned though. I would hate to have an issue with a product from here. Good retailers can turn bad.

However, thanks for your kind offer but i'll just see where the dispute goes and leave it as a warning to myself and others.
