Dafuq? Do these speakers speak to you telepathically?

    • +10

Even better, it does it at the speed of sound sonically.

And in the voice of Christopher Walken.

           I got a fever.

           And the only prescription...

           is MORE COWBELL.

      • But telepathy is faster than sound! I think buyers are getting ripped off here.

…bought some for the garage. cheers!

Yep, some nice profit in these. I had a bad experience with Rio on a previous ozbargain deal, so a neg from me.

Im happy with the Q Acoustic speakers I bought from them, just felt a bit annoyed with the pushy salesman tactics to try and convince me to buy a Leowe TV when all I wanted to do was get in and out.

to buy a Leowe TV when all I wanted to do was get in and out

        You're not alone.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

      • No lurve for the Loewe?

        • Dunno, haven't researched them. I am eagerly awaiting my 10 year old TV to kick the bucket though so I can start looking at new ones.

      • Glad you're enjoying your Q Acoustics speakers!
Sorry if you felt like you were being pushed into something- while they are great TV's we understand that they aren't for everyone (or that you may not want to upgrade a TV at the time). I hope you'll give us another chance if you need anything else :)

    • Apologies if you've had a bad experience with us in the past.. Not sure how long ago it was but a few things have changed in the last couple of years so hopefully you can give us another chance :)

    • So expensive

What a bargain, I might buy a dozen!!

I don't know why people are losing their minds, these are on the low-mid end of premium hifi speakers.

      6 inch driver
Claims of a gel that converts all high frequencies to heat.
      $6000 msrp for two speakers.
Just because theres more expensive placebo out there doesnt mean these arent equally as ridiculous. That said i do know a bit about speakers and can attest that most audiophile speakers do at least sound good.

      • Fair and thanks for the info, just seemed like the usual ozbargain response to any premium item.

    • Which is why they shall be relegated to your guests' house's third bathroom.

    • Feel free to come in to our Preston store and have a listen. They do sound quite impressive for their size!

  • +2

    Pass, I don't like rear-ported small speakers.

  • What's the best price you can do on a pair of 3030i's?

    • Give us a call on (03)94169943 and we'll see what we can do for you. These speakers haven't arrived yet in Australia but we are taking pre-orders as I believe they're due to arrive in the next week or so :)

      • No worries, thanks!

    "Tensegrity Stand"

That is patently false. Words have definitions, especially so for engineering terms. This is just a metal stand with purely aesthetic fishing wire.

Yup I’d buy the Edifier 1700BT for $133 over these lol.

    • Unfortunately the buy price/retail price has gone up since this post so we may not be able to do these prices, however give us a call and we can certainly still work out a good deal for you!

  • I do like Q Accoustic sound but i have never heard their high end (one of my speaker pairs is the BT3 I which I love)

    • Well if you have any retailers near you that have these on display I would recommend you have a listen. They're everything you love about the Q Acoustics sound and more!

    • Beware of what?

    • Unfortunately distribution of the brand is changing hands and we do suspect that there will be an increase in pricing between 10-15% once this occurs, however anything you buy will still have a valid warranty. If you're interested in purchasing any Q Acoustics please let us know and we will be happy to work out a great deal for you in the meantime!

Based on the specs I can say these don't go deep or loud, which isn't good in $3700 speakers.

Doesn't anybody give the deviation in a frequency response spec anymore? Is it a relic of a bygone age? Like +-3db. Without it the spec could mean anything.

    • I'm sorry, but that statement above is just incorrect. For bookshelf speakers these are spot on. These aren't PA speakers, and can handle amps from 25-200W. However with a sensitivity of 84dB I would power it with a decent stereo amp if you want to fill a medium size living room with out stressing the amp.

    • I agree with your point about the missing +/- 3dB frequency plots though.

FOUND it in the manual -6dB

      Frequency Response (-6dB) 55 Hz – 30 kHz

  • I do get that tuning cabinets takes time and costs money, but these are still the same drivers as the 5x-10x cheaper concept 20s aren't they?

  • Hey stands included! How much the stands alone ;)
