Before anyone fires "just get a Herman," fellas, I'm smaller than most of yous, what works for you ain't going to work for me. So, with that said, where's a place to try out office chairs?

They don't have readied chair for testing, it's all in boxes. Lots of them.
Okay that wasn't my experience at their stores in QLD. There are usually at least 20 models out for display and testing.
Any office furniture place will have a variety of chairs but the majority of them will be the cheap and nasty style. eg I used to buy a new chair from office works every year as they'd only last a year before something broke or the padding was too compressed and uncomfortable etc. You may have more luck with stores that specialise just in office furniture.
I know you said no to Herman Miller but if it's strictly because of your size and fits within your budget, the Aeron at least actually comes in 3 sizes in case you weren't aware.
I wasn't aware! I'll still need to test them though, but thanks for letting me know, definitely checking the smaller ones out.
woah, Google - that's a good website. I found it through Bing!
