SOLSTRÅLE add-ons

SOLSTRÅLE with Smart meter

Adding a smart meter to your system allows consumption monitoring via online app. This can help you maximise your grid independence and provide an energy profile, which can help you make decisions on future add-ons such as battery. This solution includes a different inverter compared to SOLSTRÅLE Basic, one from Sungrow. Adding this feature will increase the price of your solution. Ask Solargain about this option during your phone quotation.

SOLSTRÅLE with Micro inverter

Micro inverters provide design flexibility to your system. They are useful if you have shaded areas limiting your roof space. SOLSTRÅLE includes the Enphase micro inverter. Adding this feature will increase the price of your solution. Ask Solargain about this option during your phone quotation.

  • Super keen on people’s thoughts on this as I’m about to get solar for our renovations. A few people have said to hold off the solar rebate and await the battery one as you can only be reimbursed for one or the other.

  • Good way to spend your Super

Not bad. I have had a similar deal with SMA inverter.
Worth giving a shot on quote. No need of micro inverters if you no shading issues….but smart meter is good to have.

  • Anyone know if the battery one is off grid?

  • $7000 for a 6.5kWh battery. Not worth it.

  • I got a quote for $5.3k after rebate for 20x 330w Trina & SMA SunnyBoy 1P inverter 5kWAC (No idea what these mean). Not sure how it compares to this

    • 20x 330w Trina & SMA SunnyBoy 1P inverter 5kWAC (No idea what these mean)

20 off Trina panels of 330W each
SMA SunnyBoy Single phase 5KW Inverter

      • Thank you.
Anyone know if it's worth the extra $7000 for the battery?
We use about 1000kWh/month (about $750/quarter). Would the battery be enough to cover most of my electricity usage at night?

        • Check your meter when you get home from work. Check again in the morning.

At least IKEA should be there if you need warranty in a couple of years. Unlike some 'deal of a lifetime' companies.

That is the only reason why I requested quote.
