LG B8 Experiences. Should I Buy?

Hi All,

I was looking to buy 2019 Samsung QLED Q60R and have been calling different stores if JB, TGG and David Jones. Neither of them had stock but one of the David Jones guy told me he had a 2018 model LG B8 in stock which he is priced at $1500 plus delivery for a 65” model. It caught my interest. I have asked him twice and he confirmed me it’s not an ex-display model, it’s a brand new item just didn’t get sold.

OLED were always out of my budget since I wanted a 65” version under 1.5k. Given this I don’t have much knowledge about OLED let alone B8. I want to ask all the experience and expert people around here regarding their LG B8 experience? Should I buy it from David Jones? Please help with your valuable feedbacks and suggestion. I am specially interested in knowing the Burn Ins experience. Should I worry about it specially with B8. My main usage is Live TV and Netflix. Some Youtube.

    Very happy with mine. No sign of burn in. The apps you want work well on the screen. Even the sound is pretty decent using the TV speakers. I would jump at it for that price.

    That is a massive bargain for the 65", the best ever price for the 55" was $1460 IIRC. Get it.

    No issues with mine aside from a few dead pixels, you will find them in every screen if you look hard enough.

      Thanks man. Is that noticeable for a normal viewing from a 3 meter distance? Will it be too visible?

        Nah you won't notice them during normal viewing, not worth worrying about.

    I'd buy it in an instant. You won't get burn in with Live TV and Netflix. If you end up watching a lot of Youtube, watch them full screen.

      Thanks man. I only watch Netflix for an average 2-3 hours a day on average. Youtube sometimes. PS4 2-3 hours a week

      Sounds a bit dodgy to be honest. Give me the name of the person you spoke to and location of the store I would like to speak to him personally.

      Also, totally unrelated, does DJ deliver?

          Just make sure you get the usual warranty terms with the tv. i would buy it at this price.
