These Kogan 4K TV’s are great, have one myself although the sound quality is terrible!!

    • Are they wall mountable??

      • +1

Yes, as per the spec: "VESA Wall Mount Pattern 200X200 | Top: M6X45mm, Bottom: M6X45mm (10mm depth in the back Cover)" and as seen in the 10th pic.

Yeah that's why you buy a decent soundbar or some other sound system.

Any good for home office use as a monitor?

    • +3

If you are doing desktop office work and need a few different screens up it’s good.

Not perfect but much cheaper than buying a large gaming monitor. The important thing is to make sure your laptop or computer can output 60hz. 30hz is very very laggy so is somewhat unpleasant. 60hz is reasonable.

For my work I’m mostly looking at emails, drawings and maps (lots of mostly static information). Biggest benefit is having four screens up at the same time. I’m quite happy with mine (series 8).

Keep in mind it will occupy a fair chunk of desk space for the base but is probably as wide as having two 24” monitors anyway.

+1 to speakers being ordinary but I’m using this for productivity.

      • Thanks for the detailed response @sriver!

My use case would be similar to yours; I've got an old plasma TV I'm trialling Atm but thought a newer tv model might be better. Alternate is to get a couple of 27 in Monitors (just gave 24in to Mrs) but $$ more

  • Does anyone know if these Smart / Android Tv's can be used as advertising screens? I want to have several images loop or run a video that can be cast from another PC.

We use screen cloud at work which can be installed on android+ 20 us or so a month, but a reasonable centralised digital signage system. There are a couple of other Android based alternatives, like a full screen browser app, and there are more options that open up if you use a browser, like google slides and there’s also a digital signage plugin wor Wordpress.

  • Anyone know how this compares to the TCL 43P8M it's only slightly more and has 3 years warranty. But stock is hard to find.

    • They're like the exact same. Except the Kogan is $66 cheaper, slightly thinner, weighs 0.5kg less and has more USB slots.

      • I was wondering if they were the same but different brand, The TCL has a different bezel, more warranty and won't have to pay delivery if i can find one, the 50" version is only $50 more and is in stock at TGG.

  • How would this compare to a Samsung 43" LED at a similar price point?

Does anyone have any real world experience with this TV and can comment on how it is? Sounds amazing on paper.

  • Why isn't delivery free with Kogan First?
