  • Thanks op, bought two.

    Hands down best cable

    • I have had two die within a year of buying. No visual damage, only used at home. But when they work they work well.

  • +2

If it contains the 56k resistor then how can it charge with more than 500mA? Having a 3A rating is then superfluous is it not?

(I otherwise love these cables - last forever).

    • +1

I looked into it. The 56K resistor will tell "dumb" chargers to send power at their default (safe) current (0.5A for USB 2.0 and 0.9A for USB 3.0).

If the charger has the capability to supply more than that, it will override these 0.5A and 0.9A limits and provide higher rates (3A for this cable via Q.C 2.0, Q.C 3.0, USB-PD etc). The 56K resistor would be ignored or power might be sent over different wires in the cable.

In the early days, manufacturers were using the wrong resistor (10K) which told dumb chargers to supply 3A of current, even if they could not. This would damage chargers.

Here's the article I read for this: https://www.androidauthority.com/usb-type-c-and-3-1-explaine…

  • I have a couple, maybe it's my phone but it doesn't charge my oneplus 5t on fast charge

    • See my comment above.

    • Does OnePlus 5t even have fast charge? I was under the impression VOOC/ DASH Charge only? You'd need a special cable from Oppo Or OnePlus for that

  • Anyone else getting an 'Access Denied' error when trying to pay via Paypal?

    • Not sure if correlation is equal to causation here… but I temporarily switched off my vpn and was able to submit the order via paypal.

  • Save yourself the heartache and the 80 days wait for delivery from China. Just buy one from MSY for the same price

    https://www.msy.com.au/cablelist-cl-tcu3tc402-2-meter-usb31-…

The MSY cables are very high quality, and charges at blazingly fast speeds. There is no risk of ending up with a dodgy cable, and no postage wait time.

    • +1

these are not the same quality.
      and SHIPPED from AU.

      • +1

What makes them not? Because the claimed specs on Bangood look better?

They are both claimed Data Sync Speed: Up to 5Gbps.

        The MSY Wire Core: 32 AWG(Data)3 + 24 AWG(Power)
The BlitzWolf Core: Wire Core: 32 AWG(Data)
        3 + 22 AWG(Power)

The MSY cable has a nylon shell and is incredibly strong, will not twist, knot or tangle, in a load strain test, I'd wager it can withstand 5 x more pressure than the polyester shell of the Blitzwolf cable.

        • blitzwolf is known for it's quality on ozbargain mate. You really must not be paying attention. By all means, go buy the MSY ones if you think they are better. No one is stopping you.

And as mentioned before. SHIPPED FROM AUS. Not China so there is no 80day wait time. A bit of an exaggeration but whatever lol. There is no reason to pick the MSY one over this

          • +1

@hmac: BG only gives you China or US as "shipped from" options. Where are you getting shipped from Aus?

            • @fivespice: When the deal was put up, there was stock in the AU warehouse. Seems like AU option is now gone. Hence why the code does not work anymore.

Edit: Also confirmed with my order confirmation, shipped from AU

          • @hmac: I didn't realise you represent all of Ozbargain. All the horror stories of dud Blitzwolf products and long postage delays must be made up then.

            • @DeeTrance: I must have missed the comments but I didnt see @hmac he is representing all of us.

I can vouch for Blitzwolf products they last forever

    • +1

      That's USB-C to USB-C.

  • I have ordered these like 2 times in 1 year and they never arrive. They also estimate the shipping to be around 2-4 months.

  • If your cable is return to them, these guys will not inform you even after months of expected delivery date. You have to ask them, then they will process your refund, then you (actually me) have to wait for months for the refund (me). Still waiting…….for my refund.

    • If you paid by Paypal, its quicker to initiate a refund via them, from experience they don't bother to reply to paypal and once it times out you get your refund.

      • i paid with Paypal and still waiting

        • Did you initiate a claim via PayPal?

          • @LittleJerry96: nope, banggood said they will refund for the amount.

            • @stevelo: You may want to consider raising a claim via PayPal as Tigerhacker suggested. They're probably more reliable at refunding than banggood and at the end of the day its no harm done.

  • +1

Bought the same cable nearly 2 years ago. Been using it daily and still works just as good

  • +3

Ordered in March and still waiting to arrive.

Followed up in April, it was returned to Vendor because of "Covid". And they only said this after I followed up. I guess they hope buyers just forget?

Anyways still waiting, do yourself a favour and don't buy

    • Yeah, I had the same with 2 cable orders from banggood. They refunded me straight away when I queried their status, but I thought "you say it was returned to you because of COVID, so why did I have to chase you up for it several months later? Why didn't you just refund me as soon as it was returned?"

      • Yes they offered a refund. But I didn't spend 30min of my time and the mental anticipation to receive nothing.
So asked them to resend, also it'll cost the shipping

  • +1

Bought them for my Google pixel and no fast charging……

    • +2

      Pixels are picky lol.

  • OK Ozbargainers, what's the best 60w+ USB C desktop power supply on the market at the moment? Paying $100 for an Anker one seems absurd

  • Getting 2, absolutely love these cables. Best of the best.

As for fast charge complaints, I don't know, my Huawei P30 Pro fast charges with these cables, at least it does with the 3 feet ones, not sure I've tested 6 feet cables with it yet.

    • You'd want a supercharge cable tho

      • I heard a lot of people saying the P30 Pro is fussy getting supercharge but plenty of my cables give me supercharge. Blitzwolf and Ugreen are the main ones I use and they all do it. I had a 6 foot cable that did do and, then stopped doing it. But I've had a good run in general.

Even if these 2 cables I've bought tonight don't work so great, my daughter loves 6 foot cables for her tablet and I know these will last the distance, unlike when she uses cheap ones. For her, fast charge isn't on her radar, she just likes to be plugged in because at 7, she never thinks to charge it when not in use :)

  • I binned one of these last week when I noticed smoke coming from the connection closest to my Pixel 2 phone - thankfully I was sitting next to it otherwise I hate to think what could've happened

  • Awesome, bought a few. Will be cool to use to charge my Samsung s50 when the cables finally arrive

  • Anyone noticing the code no longer works? They've dropped the price but shipping still pushes it out without a working code.

EDIT: Oh well, bought them anyway.

  • I just got my two that I ordered in March yesterday from their last sale. Took 67 days to be delivered and they told me they guarantee delivery within 90 days when I inquired (big woop). Great cable but you better be patient.

  • Banggood. Never again.

Still waiting for a March order. Apparently no tracking when asking where it is, told to wait 30 more days, ask for a refund and miraculously, a generic tracking number is fwd through, next email I ask for a refund to be told it's sent non tracking and to wait 30 more days.
Escalated to PayPal and they sent the exact same verbatim response reply about the tracking number.

AU stock might be out? Only showing China and USA stock now.

  • -4

Garbage cable. Breaks after 3 - 6 months. Have had 4

    • +1

It really doesn't. I have the exact TC-10 that i use at least twice a day to charge my phone, and it works perfectly fine till this date.

  • Received mine today. 10 days delivery

    • I'm still waiting from March….

  • Queried where it was after waiting 13 days (AU shipped) and got told this:

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. The item in your order is still restocking, due to the fact that it is highly requested. We expect the new stock of this product to arrive soon .
This restocked time is for only reference, and the specific time may be affected by some uncertain factors. Thanks for your understanding.

Here are the options available. Would you mind telling us which one you prefer?

Wait: Wait until the arrival date.

Exchange: Change the product to another one with the same or similar price which is in stock. (We advise you choose the same category product for exchange. Please kindly note that we are not able to change the quantity of the product)

  • Received an email stating what kevsta89 has posted. Item is out of stock, the "predicted restocked date" is conveniently blank. I have opted to wait. Fingers crossed it arrives this year.
