Pokemoney. I see what you did there.
edit: nevermind I'm thinking of NMS
Me too. They’re on Internet Archive, via Wikipedia.
link? I couldn't find them
@muncan: oh damn thanks!!!!!! I'll try find the comic I drew when I was a kid lol
edit: for context my original comment was about how I'll look for a comic I got published in the mag when I was a kid - it was a comic I drew of mario killing sonic with a lawn mower lol
@Andard: Link when you do! (now I'm worried I've done something similar)
@muncan: Unfortunately there's only UK NMS and just 2 AU NMS on archive.org.
I did some more digging and found a game magazine archiving site oldgamemags.com
The site is pending a shut down, but I wrote to the admin and he confirmed they have 64 full issues of NMS AU uploaded, just need to pay a $20 member fee to download them.. hmm very tempting..
@Andard: Surely they’re in a government funded library somewhere? Let’s not rush to spend that $20 of yours…
fixed the URL https://archive.org/details/NintendoPower1988-2004
Cldnt post that one up as the mainy… Cause apparently they are blocked from OZB. 😳
thank you
Always preferred the Playstation mags since you got a demo disk
Is there anyway to download all at once?
There's a torrent link…
25gb!
oh dear
Ah ok, I'm not downloading it right now then, but it's still cool.
Edit: nevermind I'm downloading
jdownloader - paste the link in
It's so cool seeing stuff about games when they were new and now they're closing 20 years old.
wheres the download all button!
found it! My excitement cannot be contained
Hook us up
That should be the complete set too.
But will they give us the legendary golden eye nude code.
This will surely help with my SMB3 speedrunning!
was there a sega equivalent back in the day?
Yeah there was a Sega Power.
What I found kinda wild was that all these 'competing' mags were by the same publisher. They also made all the popular PC mags.
Use Jdownloader if you want to get every single issue.
Just paste the url in and you can download all.
It's a great magazine, and this post reminded me to grab all issues of "Computer and Video Games" and "Mean Machines". I loved the Jaz Rignall years. He was (and still is) a legend for the way he helped shaped gaming magazine journalism in the UK back then. He also shaped IGN in its early years. Such a shame its heyday is a distant memory now.
Are they available too?
Yes, I found them easily :)
Julian Rignall was my favourite Zzap!64 reviewer. Bought many games based on his reviews as I found his taste in games matched closely to my own.
I really wish we could also get archived some of the Australian mags, like Official Australian Playstation Magazine, PSM, Gamepro, etc.
Some are archived at the National Library - but even there they are missing issues.
When I was in high school, we occasionally spent money on these magazines at local newsagency….
Those were the days….
We actually couldn't afford the console or gaming machine…but was amazed with the content of the magazines. Had plenty of time but did't have the money to afford these games
We gathered up just to share the experience. Internet didn't exist so we catch up with our portable gaming device or going to each others place to play. This was one way to socialise. Mobiles were too expensive and was luxury.
Nowadays don't even read any of them. Have many games and consoles but no time to play.
The so called Mini Nintendo consoles eg. Famicon / SNES are designed to be lucrative against people like us
We all caught the same train home and get off the same station….We play games when we ride home.
This train track has recently been abolished. Sydney train has failed us but memories will be in my heart.
For those looking for the download option. Scroll to the bottom of the page, beneath the list of magazine issues you can find links to download almost any format you like. The PDF version is 1.4GB.
Legend thanks

Thanks! Straight into the bulk-download tool. CBR is interesting, a bunch of JPG's in a ZIP container really.

Absolute gold from archive.org
More importantly I found this:
https://archive.org/details/computer-video-games-magazine
Anyone know why there are issues missing from 145 to 180?
archive.org has an extensive Xbox USA magazine collection free to download-
https://archive.org/search.php?query=xbox%20magazine
And a lot of not so child friendly as you scroll down…
Oh man I remember saving my pockemoney for these in the early 90s. What a flashback!
