Romantic Getaway Ideas in Regional NSW/VIC

So with regional travel/holidaying now allowed, I'd like to take the Mrs somewhere nice in regional NSW/VIC (we are residents of both).

Somewhere within 3 hours drive of CBD, private place (not a resort) with a spa/jacuzzi would be ideal.

    1) Convince "the Mrs" to pay for it
    2) Convince "the Mrs" to split the cost three ways wink

    You're planning a romantic getaway wrong if that's your main concern.

    Choose somewhere decent, but consider your self catering options - can you BYO really nice champers, get roses (or other flowers, if she likes flowers) delivered (or from a supermarket or florist), get a supermarket deliver (or pick up from a deli) nice cheeses/meats/strawberries?
    Check out booking.com and stays etc.

    Check out Pokolbin. Other options might be a bit cold this time of the year (Mudgee/Bathurst) - unless, of course, thats exactly what youre looking for.

    The Japanese Mountain Retreat doesn't fit in with your requirements to not spend much, jeez it's pricey.

    Nah, she owns a place in Syd and I own a place in Vic.
