hey giggles, it's a mockumentary…. it's not just women and youth he portrays, he does a male drama teacher and a self absorbed husband.
this program certainly doesnt degrade anybody… and certainly not women and youth as youve suggested. it's a COMEDY that depicts fictional characters, and I think the reason you've been negged so much is that the word "degrading" is used far too often these days- and like in this instance unfairly.
btw, Tootsie (Dustin Hoffmans award winning role you are referring to) got numerous nods of approval at the Oscars, Baftas, and Golden Globes… highly regarded award ceremonies, so using it as 'an example' of disgusting and degrading work shows that you might need to lighten up a little bit.
furthermore, Summer Heights High didnt do too badly either…. AFI's & TV Week logies isnt anything to be sneezed at.
