True it is more expensive. I would not compare the lowest price ever of V1 to the RRP of V2.
However, if you are ready to cough up $250 maybe you should consider another hundred or even two.
I would personally have a look at Jabra 75t at this stage - same price, better value.
@Musiclover: Subjectively the extra money on top of an already very expensive set that improved on many of the flaws, still doesn't make v2 worth the price IMO. Esp when you can get better for cheaper.
@Musiclover: This is all subjective. I am not a bass head, so I dislike most budget sennhesiers from the get go. Also when I pay this much, I expect there to be no low volume hiss, which is insane. The application and EQ management is worse than budget sets. I wouldn't pay even $250 for the mtw2, but again it's entirely subjective as many people love exaggerated bass and the brand. The microphone on v2 still sounds like I'm underwater if there is any background noise like, like street noise etc.
I'd be careful about buying the gen 1's there have been quite a number of reported cases where the buds don't turn themselves off when placed in the charging case and in turn, the buds sap the battery of the case. I had one of the affected units and had to return them because they'd always be flat whenever I wanted to use them.

I can't comment on the v2's though but I'd hope the issue has been fixed as it's quite serious.
Momentum 2 is a huge improvement in every aspect.
