Excellent deal for the recently launched Switch version of this trilogy/series. Cheaper than available at any other store

BioShock: The Collection contains all three games within this critically acclaimed franchise – BioShock Remastered, Bioshock 2 Remastered, and BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition. It also contains all single-player add-on content for all three games.

  • BioShock Remastered - Explore the undersea city of Rapture, a haven for society's greatest minds that has devolved into a dystopian nightmare. Your only hopes for survival are quick thinking, reclaimed weaponry, and powers granted by DNA-altering Plasmids.

  • BioShock 2 Remastered - 8 years have passed since the events of the first BioShock, and Rapture's denizens have rallied into a collectivist cult. Wield even more Plasmid types, face off against a host of new enemies, and venture beyond Rapture's art deco architecture to traverse the ocean floor.

  • BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition - Indebted to the wrong people, private investigator Booker DeWitt must take on an impossible task: travel to Columbia, a flying city above the clouds, and rescue a woman who's been imprisoned there named Elizabeth, who has the power to tear at the fabric of reality.

  • Card includes opening sequences for each of the 3 included games and will require players to then download an additional 31 GB of data to continue to progress through each title.

Better than Borderlands retail copy which only gives you one game and then you get digital downloads of other two.

    • +2

I feel Borderlands is better because at least the cartridge contains a full experience.

Any way you look at it, it's a pointless and stupid business practice that has been set as a precedent by 2K since 2K18 came out on Switch.

    • Ouch. I suppose it still contains each of the 3 games on one card. Most switch owners would have micro sd cards.

      But yea not ideal.

    • +1

I believe the current max size of the switch carts is 32GB so this is unavoidable

      • Multiple cards would work but I understand that Nintendo charges publishers like a wounded bull for them.

      • 64GB cards exist, but nobody has used them yet.

Only 2 games on Switch have even used the 32GB card:
Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2, which was a launch title in Japan, and Witcher 3

      • 32 Gb is internal Switch storage.
I don’t know what the maximum capacity of Micro SD card but people say 400Gb one works fine.

        • +1

Switch was developed to be forward compatible with microSD cards up to 2tb (which still don't exist yet). I have a constantly full 400GB card, but don't want to waste the money on an incremental 512GB card.

Shame the 1tb cards are several hundred dollars still.

  • Just thought I'd get my comment in before the wave of "way too much for a 45 year old game" comments.

    • Honestly $20 each is pretty good considering they're well regarded and now available to play anywhere

      • +1

Just played through Bioshock on PC last week. It holds up real good and I'd be quite happy with more modern games having the same level of stylised graphics.

Probably only a deal for someone who has a Switch and nothing else though as it can be had for far less elsewhere.

        • Yeah as someone who has never played them and only owns a switch, I'll be picking up all 3 of the 2k collections that just released at some point.

        • I agree, I've already got a couple of the Bioshock games on PC. It'd be fun to be able to play them anywhere but I've got a) too many games I need to finish (Witcher 3 and BoTW are just taking forever to complete) and b) no point in spending this kind of money when I've already got these games on PC.

          • @Ghost47: Sounds like you're not enjoying Witcher or BOTW if you feel like they're taking forever?

            • @Faro: Obsessive Completionist Disorder is a hard cross to bear.

I have it (130 hours into Witcher 3 and still not complete….)

            • @Faro: No, I definitely am although I get bored and end up switching between the two. Just that I tend to focus on other things now rather than games.

      • +1

Not when you can buy this collection for under $20 on other platforms during sales

    How is this game guys?

    • +2

Number 1 is incredible imo, number 2 is still good but not my favorite. Infinite easily beats 2 and comes a very close second. The Burial at Sea DLC for Infinite is really good too.

    • Fantastic, if you've never played one you're in for a treat. Space them out a bit though because all 3 are very similar.

    • Great games. I liked the 3rd one too. But the 1st one is okay.

Does a Man ask others for an opinion of something he may not share?

No, a Man investigates and forms that opinion himself.

It is the Parasite that feeds on the opinion of others.

  • Look at you, hacker.
A pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors.
How could you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?

  • Luigi's Mansion 3 - Nintendo Switch
    Price: $65.75
    You Save: $14.20 (18%)

Found that while purchasing Bioshock. Still seems like a good price. It's still $80 pretty much everywhere else.
