    • keep on checking every day if you need it urgently

    • This is the normal price for it and they run out often, whenever they restock it should be back. Set a camel3x alert for something near the normal price and you should know when it's back.

  • Does anyone know whether Lenovo thinkpad hybrid dock (with both usb-c and A cord) will work with this laptop?
The usb c port in the laptop is for power and data only.

    • Not sure about lenovo but works with a targus dock which used the usb c connection to connect

      • Can you tell me Which Targus dock it is? Will be Appreciated.

Targus USB-C Universal Dual Video 4k Docking Station with 100W Power (DOCK190USZ)

Also mentions this in the specifications, which might be what you need to look out for in a dock for using the usb-c connection (not an expert).
          1 x USB-C upstream port with supporting Power Delivery 2.0 Profile 5

  • $906? I paid $930~!

Just a follow up regarding this laptop (originally purchased in June). Unfortunately over time the trackpad has started to fail and works very intermittently and stops moving (took about 2 months to become completely faulty). From the reviews I read, this seems to be a known issue but might not affect a large amount of people.

Live chatted Amazon and they offered a full refund on return as a replacement isn't possible, which was good. But I think I'd rather stick with Lenovo AU from now on as I don't think I could rely on Amazon if 1 year elapses and Lenovo US won't help either it seems.

It's a great laptop, but the QC seems to be a bit lacking unfortunately.

I can confirm that it's possible to get AU Lenovo warranty for these. I purchased an upgrade to onsite warranty (through Lenovo AU) for the 11 months remainder of the year warranty for only $12.39 and when I did so, the base country changed to Australia. I had registered the device just before and when they processed the warranty change, they also updated the warranty start date to my reported purchase date.

Looked into this myself as my device has some relatively minor QC issues but it'll be impossible for me to get a replacement at the same price I paid through Amazon US via AU if I return it ($909), which is the only option they gave me. When I went through the link in Lenovo Vantage to "View Warranty Options", the page came up with:

"Your machine's warranty is based on original purchase in United States of America, we may forward you to the United States of America Warranty Upgrade page or you may proceed to the Australia Warranty Upgrade page."

If I click the "Proceed with Australia" button, a pop up appears stating:

    Tips

Changing your warranty base country may affect your ability to get service in your current entitlement country/region.

    with "Cancel" and "Confirm" buttons.

This implied the base warranty country can indeed be changed, and I remember reading on another Lenovo deal that purchasing an AU upgrade does change it.

Since it only cost $12.39 to turn the useless US warranty into onsite AU warranty, that makes these an even better deal than without a warranty upgrade. Even if you have to pay the USD$599 +tax and shipping on Amazon US directly, since it's unknown if it will come back to Amazon AU, you still can't do better for the price currently. I just converted for the year to test the country change, but since this is a 2 in 1 with unknown hinge durability I'll probably buy extra before the year is up unless a Zen 3 equivalent comes out that's too tempting. Overall it's a great device, my only minor issue is that the display has a little bit of a rattle if tapped on the left hand side in some positions (sounds just like an old resistive touch screen) but now that I know I have warranty beyond just Amazon accepting a return, it's absolutely something I can live with.
