On Microsoft Australia website, it says it will be released in their website on 5th June, 2020 but it is already out of stock. Retailers do not even have the first one in display.

the orders were open a few days ago, I wanted the new Matte Version but the grey one was available but now both out of stock
You'll have to wait til they are back in stock, and be a little quicker next time.
I get that but will they be released in stores such as JB Hi-fi, Harvey Norman on same date as Microsoft website?

if they were released in physical stores for version 1 same time as Microsoft, then probably same this time but I did not follow release of the first version
@yummycoot: Why not just buy different headphones?
@brendanm: Who wouldn't want Cortana?
@brendanm: i like the design, especially the rings to adjust volume and level of noise cancellation.
For those thinking that you would have to get used to Cortana as voice assitant.
Another welcome change is, after awkwardly trying to integrate Cortana as part of the original Surface Headphones, Microsoft’s assistant has been given the boot this time around. You can still access Google Assistant or Siri by tapping and holding on either of the ear cup touchpads. The built-in mics pick up your voice well whether you’re on a call or telling your phone’s digital helper to play a certain song.

Hey Mate,
Would you recommend these. Is Xm3 or Xm4 that better than Microsoft SH2. do you have any regrets after this purchase.
hey man, I was looking to get it for my sister but she ended up choosing Airpods Pro. If you are in Windows Ecosystem, its best to go with Surface 2, it is better than XM3 in terms of convenience.
Thanks
I interpret this to mean No stock on hand yet.
