    Any feedback from this brand?
    Perfect for my switch.

    • +11

I wouldn't get this, unless you want to risk losing everything on the card in a short amount of time. Stick to a major brand for flash memory, especially in a game console.

Cheap, but I'll stick to Sandisk / Samsung. Dodgy storage isn't worth the headache.

    • +5

I've had 2x 128gb sandisks fail on me in different devices in the last year, think I'll stick with Samsung..

      • +4

I've had two Samsung microSD's fail on me in the past. Their warranty process was shocking too. Stuck to SanDisk since then. I think it's just luck of the draw regardless of the brand.

        • +6

Yeah well I've had 2 x samsungs, 4 x sandisks and 6 x Dr Memories fail on me! Beat that!

          • @SanAndreas23:

6 x Dr Memories fail on me

            Pretty aptly named.

Sounds like you had bad memories of Dr Memories lol

          Damn volatile storage!

Where did DrMemory get his/her PhD?

    • Same place as Dr J

      Dunno, he forgot.

      Trump University, of course.
All those unreliable claims are all fake news.

      • I am sure trump will claim your claim is fake news, just like cnn and Washington post ( full of fake news).

Mind you, I think his is right this time,.. just wish trump with add himself to the list too to add credibility.

  • Hmmm how do I know if its fast enough for a 4K video to be written to it?

    • Depends what your bitrate is. Find that and compare it to the sustained speed of this card (goodluck finding it though).

  • What's the read/write for this? can't find any information or reviews for this brand

A fake Chinese made sd card

    • +1

These cheap sd cards have more to do with poor quality than outright fake. They usually die a lot earlier than you'd expect

    • +1

Hate to break it to you, but every MicroSD card is going to be made in China, even the ones made by Samsung, the otherwise Korean corporation.

      • but every MicroSD card is going to be made in China

Not so. SD cards contain NAND flash, which is made in Japan, Korea, USA, Singapore and China.

Wikipedia has a list of chip fabs, listing what they make. Search the list for "NAND" and you can see them all:
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_semiconductor_fabricat…

Only a handful of companies know how to make flash memory successfully. The demand for flash is making them all extremely rich, so they're keeping the secrets to themselves - which, for many of them, means not making them in China.

low quality flash memory. maybe won't last 100 write

Ask yourself…. if something is half the price of the normal sale price for a reputable brand…. do you really wanna trust your data on it?

  • So many people said don't trust it, but haven't tried it before.
Anyone really tried this? Please give us some reviews.

That was clearly someone making fun of anecdotal evidence lol

There's the 400GB SanDisk for $69.95 in the "users also viewed this" section. I'd be buying that for the money.

    • That one not fulfilled by amazon or under prime, this one is.

      • It doesn't really matter who is fulfilling it and that you get a full refund after you lose 6 months of photos/game saves/whatever you're using it for.

    The Dr is silent.

Also the Dr will see you now.

Doesn't help that the OP looks Asian.

    • That's racist remark judging a person by the avatar. I can put an Isaac Newton avatar, and what does that make me?

      • -2

As a minority myself, it makes you oversensitive.

  • +1

    There’s also a 512GB variant for $55.74
The price crosses the threshold for free international delivery for prime users.

  • Anybody get these are they legit?

    • Got mine yesterday. Been running h2test on it overnight and it's fake. It looks to be a hacked 32gb card. Once I've completed the test I'll be reporting it to Amazon.

  • Fake card. Will be seeking refund.

  • Got my 512gb , just filled half of it with 230gb of files and it took 3 hours to do it.

    • Edit: update out of the 230gb files it "copied" only 47gb was readable.

This is a deep fake sold by Amazon Prime.
