Hi everyone,
I never start threads, but after my disgust with the Clive Peeters sale, i thought i would try and save people the trip today & Sunday.
LG 60" plasma 'as is'(no remote, etc) $1500. at the moment JB hifi have it for $1496 WITH WARRANTY!)
side by side fridges are cheaper at the Harvey Norman clearance center in dandy south, cheapest at CP was $940 for a poor condition Westinghouse(no ice, 610lt), again no warranty.
basic white 600mm stoves were no cheaper than $800, cheapest freestanding oven was an LG for $1600.
There was a few Smeg & Ilve ovens and cooktops, none were matching and still seemed overpriced..
This sale is comparable to the sales at Ringwood/Richmond Clive Peeters last week, where the 'clearance prices' were an average special price. Everything was sold on an 'as is' with no warranty.
It's advertised as an 'everything must go' sale. i don't think everything will go at those prices.
If you did manage to find a bargain, please post below :)
Are you sure 'as is' doesn't simply apply to cosmetic damage or similar? I find it difficult to believe a retailer could get away with marking an item 'as is' and getting out of their responsibilities under consumer law.
