What would you recommend at this price point? How's the Samsung TU800, Q60T or Hisense S8?
Best 75" TV for ~ $2000 - $3000?

Hard to decide between TU800, R7/R8 and S8
Sony x9500g when there is a deal..
I got one of these…. never had to reboot a tv before but seems to be a weekly event
Why did you have to reboot it? Has it been fixed by software?
It's just a bit flaky like most things android based :-) Sometimes I'll have no sound, other times it gets stuck in an app. I'd say I reboot once a week or so but most of the time it's fine
I'm on the hunt too… read some shonky feedback on the S8 series here though…
Ended up going with the TU8000. I am pleasantly surprised after reading reviews and comments dissing Samsung and this model.
Pros: Amazing picture quality (4k content looks better than real life), great dark scenes and blacks don't feel like they are from an edge lit TV because of how uniform and clean they are.
There is one big issue though - The grey uniformity is quite awful giving the screen a dirty screen effect in grey and light scenes (noticed as soon as I started watching an Antarctica documentary on Netflix with lots of white and grey imagery. Surprisingly did not notice it while watching UFC, perhaps the grey canvas was too bloody dirty?) Tech Giant on Youtube showcases this for the TU8000 but his was worse than mine, it varies from model to model and how it is handled during transportation and setup - KEEP HER STRAIGHT AS A RULER or it can worsen it.
For the price ($2295 for 75 inches but you get a $250 gift card) I am actually very, very happy. The picture quality is better than any TV I have seen personally seen and it honestly looks better than the big screen at most cinemas! Definitely disable or play with the judder setting though as that sucks by default. I remember with our last TV we spent 1k for like 42 inches way back when so this for me is a real treat at the price point.
Hope this helps others! Happy hunting.
We also just purchased a 75” Samsung TU8000 off appliances online - got them to $2025 so with the $250 gift card down to $1775 - happy with that price 👍
What's it like for sport?
Why did you choose this it over Q60T or S8 (besides the price)?
Q60T was out of budget and the TU8000 had more reviews/information about it than the S8 and I got to see it in person at the store.
Thanks that's fair decision.
