Is your sausage too hot?
Did it read the correct temp though?
Sounds like you attend too many cocktail parties.
So is the main difference between this one and the slightly cheaper one just being able to calibrate it and slightly faster reading?
I can't imagine using cr1632 button cells to be a good idea. Spend the extra and buy the top end model that's rechargable.
second this. The rechargeable feature is great and it's also waterproof
The cr2032 cells in our Thermapen lasted a long time (9 years+), the rechargeable battery will probably be dead by that time.
Sorry i know nothing about these things apart from that i want one… what would be wrong with having a replaceable battery? And like automated mentioned above the rechargeable will die off. $20 vs $33 is a reasonable price difference so just curious.
Also are these Inkbird ones better quality than the other Amazon deals that are usually posted for around $15 or so?
I bought the SVANZE or whatever it's called and it's great. I've never had a top end one like a Thermapen to compare it to, but it craps all over the other medium budget ones I've owned.
"The instant reading thermometer responds in 3-6 Seconds"
I don't think that word means what you think it means 🤔

What's the difference between this and the $14 one at Woolies?
I have this, the read is about 10s, although judging by the above this thermometer isn't exactly instant either
Bought the Woolworths one for $6 last week when half price, normally $12 at my local Woolworths, take one AAA battery.
I bought this one for $13.99 (at the time), not expecting too much and was pleasantly surprised. It reads as fast as my old Thermapen and reads identical temperature figures.
I only bought it as it was the cheapest of all the similar "shaped" devices on Amazon (if you've been searching for these thermometers you'll know what I mean), but was actually a good buy.
Thanks for the comparison, it's good enough for me then. Grabbed that one instead, sorry Inkbird 😛
I got this all wrong. I tried checking the temp of my sausage by sticking that probe thing in my sausage
