  Surely that RRP is fake?! Who in their right mind would pay $450 for a generic China brand smartwatch when you can get an actual reputable brand for the same price or less?

    RRP is at the sole discretion of the manufacturer, so they can pretend it's whatever they want.
    Having used brand name smart watches (Sony SW1 and 3, Moto360, Fitbit) and also having used the TicWatch E for a couple of years, I can genuinely say I've found them as good as the bigger brand units but typically cheaper.
