I purchased an IKEA mattress about 8 years ago and it is significantly faulty now. I confirmed it came with a 10 year warranty and IKEA will replace it, granted I can proof the purchase. I cannot find the receipt and paid cash back in the day. Although the model had a product life cycle less than 10 years, (i.e., it cannot be out of warranty as yet) IKEA does not honour this situation.
What can I do?

It's not unreasonable for them to want to see a receipt for the purchase. Did you maybe scan the IKEA app when purchasing? Probably a long shot that long ago.
