Cashrewards and ShopBack Issue! Someone Please Help!

Hello i have been having this issue with both Cashrewards and shopback for the past month. My orders never track no matter which website! It use to work perfectly but something is not making it work. Both my phone and my laptop don't track anymore so its not a device issue. I've tried multiple browsers and still doesn't work. I have disabled adblock and doesn't work. I have not been using either lately because i feel its just a waste of time because it never works. Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve this issue? Would be much appreciated :)

    Have you been using Incogitio (Chome), Private Window (Firefox) or Private Browsing (Safari) ?

    That's how I've made all my purchases with 100% tracking.

    • I use duck duck go. Maybe i should try incognito mode? But why doesn't my phone track im using the app? Maybe i should try sign out and sign back into both?

      • I've avoided the App so not sure on that one.
        I wonder if it's tracking your click for the cashback (you can see in your account)

    Firefox Tracking protection was turned on by default not so long ago.
    So if you use Firefox, you need to disable that.

  • Have you installed a DNS ad blocker on your router? e.g. PiHole, pixelserv or Diversion

    • Not that I know off. I got my bro also using cashback he had no probs so I'm sure it's got something to do with my devices or account

    A tip. To eliminate potential issues with your wifi/router/firewall, disable wifi on your mobile and try booking a refundable hotel at booking.com via the Cashrewards app using 4G. This also eliminates browser issues (plugins, blockers etc) as the app uses its own native browser. If it works, the issue is on your side of the fence. Please also ensure you don't have a VPN active. Let us know how you go :)

    Edit: ensure you do not have plugins such as Honey installed. Please read this.

    • Ok I don't have honey installed, my transactions dont work either when i do 4G or wifi connection. I'm stumped. Perhaps I have some Google setting in my Gmail account? As I have both my Gmail on my phone and laptop?

  • Been having the same issue with PC a couple of transactions went through but a few didn't, using the same browser on the same computer with the extension installed and activated. Got one resolved by reporting it and waiting on a response for another one. So you are not the only one. :)

    • Oh sweet I'm not the only one 😁. Also what do you mean u reported it? Do you mean that U reported the missed transactions?

      • Yeah they have a 'report missing transactions' button there.

        • Ah ok but I think I will have to do that everytime also to them seems kinda dodgy. So they may not honour it. I think I'll just try solve the issue by looking at my browser settings.

  • I had few tracking issues as well in the past, as well as approval issues. Tracked transaction got declined due to cashback were "given to another cashback party" (mainly GoDaddy transactions).
    Maybe there's a more reliable way to address these issues.

  • You can also just manually request them to credit you the cashback (so long as the click is recorded). I've done this maybe 10 times with CashRewards and they've always honoured my requests. ShopBack isn't so great unfortunately so might want to avoid them if this is an ongoing issue.

    • They have honoured mine a few times which is really good of them but sometimes they don't honor it, probably because I keep asking. Also it's just a big hassel to do that everytime
