I've stopped selling on ebay because of their paypal fiasco. This isn't really a bargain, as per the above post.
The ACCC stepped in and you are not forced to use Paypal anymore.
And eBay scrapped the rule earlier this week (IIRC - yesterday)
Free listing fees for auctions starting under a 0.99c
That is a total saving of 30c !couldn't agree more to all the above postage. you only save 30cents and feEbay still charge the 50cents just to display the item's picture on the search result page.
No quantity limit though so you can list as many item as you want at 99c for free.
It's probably a good time to get rid of those Entertainment Book coupons.
Save 30c, but there's five other fees they can charge!
"All other eBay fees including listing upgrades, final value fees, format fees, subscription fees, as well as all PayPal fees apply as normal."
But that's been the case with most eBay offers - you still have to pay any other fees.
positive for me as you'd have to pay those fees in the end, regardless, and because ebay actually gets items sold.
nah.. it's only worth 30c .. and at the end.. the commission and upgrades are costing much much more..
Greedibay is sux
well, i practically live off ebay.
i list around 100-200 items a day, and this should save me heaps. Ill just save the templates on turbo lister, and wait till the 12th.
Thanks!
and no positive vote from you? :)
Thought i clicked the + …
all eBay users got this e-mail anyway…
I didn't receive the email & I'm an eBay member.
ebay is using cheap tactics 30c is a cheap trick with the amount of restrictions most people wont even get it
i hope the ACCC blocks paypal from becoming ebays only form of payment
Now that Paypal is a mandatory option, the 30c Saved is eaten up by Paypal fees anyway.
eBay? Pffft, are they still around?
PS. Google, hurry up and make an auction site. I seriously don't understand why there is no competition in the online auction business. eBay is universally loathed. Any big company could come along and make a well built competitor, charge half as much fees, and still make BILLIONS every year.
What about Oztion for an alternative? They could take advantage of all of this dissatisfaction with an easy promotion I reckon.
Funny, all this talk about hating Ebay reminds me of the newspapers when the Australian Cricket team starts losing games. ;)
Niphal: Oztion doesn't have anywhere near the range of stuff Ebay has, unforch. :( Plus there's this credit card thing..
Anyone knows a site aside from Ebay that allows selling/verification without a credit card?
And yeah, when I see this offer, I'd like to say…again? XD The last time I listed a bunch of stuff but was too stingy to pay 50c for the picture…didn't quite work out. :P
I've stopped selling on ebay too because of paypal.
eBay can go to hell as far as I am concerned.
Free listing on ebay will only save you up to $3.50.They still charge 5.25% Final Value Fee. Then they try to force you to use paypal which attracts another fee. Its just a Fee making game for ebay and paypal.
