Just announced one of the free games for PSN June - Call of Duty WWII.
Hopefully people will read this before they go out and buy a copy.

You can but I can't find a listing for the base game. The cheapest is the Gold Edition, unless that's what they're giving out.

So it says 26th of May so it'll probably end on 25th of June. I haven't got psn for a while but when I did, it used to reset on the 6th of every month

Nah, it's for June. I think they normally change around the 7th of the month? So probably another 1-2 weeks before it's available.
EDIT: Oh, I just saw it says 26th May. That's very weird timing.

The timing is for Memorial Day in the US which is technically today (right now). Hopefully the game becomes available in the AU PS Store some time today!
I bought this at the start of lockdown to help pass some hours. I found the campaign was brilliant and one of the best I've played of all the cods, really enjoyed it so would highly recommend.
Hopefully being on PS+ will lead to a decent number of new players in the multiplayer, too. I imagine most people who bought it have since moved on to new COD games.

This is probably an extra game for the month - like they did with Black Ops III last time, extra game released a week earlier than the two other games for the month.
Cities Skylines was actually quite good last month if you enjoy those kind of games. Picked up COD:WW2 during the Amazon $5 flash sale last year, campaign is pretty decent. Much better than the last BF.
I love BF multiplayer, but I don't think they've ever done a good campaign. Closest they ever got was probably Bad Company 2.

A question. Do you actually own the game through this as in no need to keep paying for a monthly Playstation Plus subscription in order to play. If not then what's the point, that would be just a subscription play. No different from say Xbox Game Pass.
I don't get this argument. Nobody would say the same about Netflix because you don't own the movies.
$55 for 24 games, even if you only like/don't own a small handful of them, is a bargain. And I'd say, anecdotally, most people keep their subscription active to play online and then you always have access to the games anyway.
You only have access to the games so long as you keep the PS Plus subscription active.
For GamePass, there was a game I really liked and it left the library within 6 months.

There is still a difference. With GamePass, other than first party exclusive games, games will eventually leave the library.
For these, technically, once you collected them, you could stop for a while and whenever you feel like playing the collected games, sign up for 1 month.
Not a bad game for the June games. Good to play for zombies, thankfully this is one of the CODs that I skimped on buying.
More likely to play the last 2 games than this.
