Using the four coupons seen on this page I got $250 of free advertising on Facebook - they have been given away by various organisations and one being Visa if you sign up to their Visa Business Network (and fill in your details). It's great stuff, you will need a valid credit card to get the coupons however you do not have to spend any money with the card. Simply use the credits and then stop your ads!

How effective is Facebook advertising by the way? I haven't used advertising for OzBargain for the last 18 months (because I am too cheap :) but if it's free I might as well give it a try (provided I am not cheap and lazy at the same time :)

Hi Foundit, you need to create an ad. Go to http://www.facebook.com/ads and you should be able to get started. Again you'll need a valid credit card to open the account, and something to advertise ;) Once you organise your ads you have the opportunity to enter the coupon codes. Then you'll get your credit!

I thought I could do this without using my credit card. I haven't really got anything to advertise, so I thought I'd just make a "Have a nice day" advert to randomly pop up for people, with no link :D
