A family of 5, moving to a new house. Looking for a good quality washing machine, a drier and a big fridge. What are your recommendations? Anyone using Miele and ASKO washing machines and driers?
Thanks.

Been waiting 6months on here for a good German made bosch washing machine deal, not many price drops alas on these ,looking a 9kg one, anyone reckon the LG 9series is on par?
LG, not in my experience.
Went through whirlpool, sansmung, lg, haier all failed badly. Bosch hasn't so far.
You get what you pay for.
Cheers sounds pretty bang on
Would highly recommend Miele washing machine. Cleans very well and feels very well built. Have a bosch dryer but doesn’t seem to dry clothes properly - not sure if it’s a specific model or setting or if I’m expecting too much from it. Have used a Bosch (Malaysian made I think) washer in past. Nothing wrong with it but Miele seems to do a better job and more functions.
Fridge wise I understand Miele are just rebranded Liebherrs. Generally they are more shallow than other brands but that also means they will often sit flush within standard 600mm cabinets meaning cleaners lines. I have gone from a large French door (~750ltres) to a side by side Liebherr (seperate fridge and seperate freezer) and have found the french door to be more practical and stores more in the fridge. Freezer section was tiny though however so may not be useful in family of 5. Side by side works well enough and has net larger volume.
Have Asko dishwasher at work. Wouldn’t recommend as often breaks down and bits fall off but that’s in office setting so people aren’t the most careful - not sure if quality is the same with their washer or dryers. I’d say stick with Miele or Bosch.
On a side note - stay away from Samsung at least for fridges and A/Cs.
I got a Miele washer and dryer about 15 years ago. Been serviced once. Heavily used. Works like a dream. Yes they are expensive but they are good for performance and lifespan.
Coincidently I have an Asko dishwasher, but only for the last 5 years. Works fine, but since it's only 5 years in I can't comment on its lifespan.
Thanks for your comments. I was only Thinking of ASKO because it is silicon seal free. Do you have any problem with the seal or the surrounding areas of your Miele washing machine?
I've had my Miele washing machine for about 6 years and the seal is fine - no signs of fatigue. There is some black mould inside of the seal where water drains out but it's not excessive and clothes don't touch it so I'm not too fussed. The Bosch also had this issue but was worse.

Thanks everyone for your comments above.
Bosch washing machine and dryer 2yr warranty, heat pump dryer works like a charm (or siemens for extra 3 yrs warranty, built in same factory as bosch).
Mitsubishi fridge - 5 year warranty also.
