No, but I still rip music from music streaming services, convert them to MP3s and then burn them to CD data discs to use in my cars CD player or a very old DVD player in the living room.
I am sure you will have difficulty selling them, because I have not heard a single person in years who wants to buy audio CDs for many many years.
If you do try to sell them, list it both on Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace to increase your chances of finding a buyer. Though I reccomend to put a really low price, like $50 for all 100 discs.
    Just my two cents.

  • Used to occasionally.
I think people will be after specific CD’s with good mastering / recording quality.
If you are unsure, just stack / line all the spines up and take a photo, post that and see if anyone wants some.

I have also seen second hand CD’s being sold as a ‘bunch’ as in for cheap but you have to take everything.

Also selling them may be more difficult than usual since the virus.

  • We cleared out our CD cupboard last month. The eldest child has been listing them on eBay 40 at a time at the suggested price.
She says they have sold profitably, between $5 and $15 plus postage.
She was very surprised they had any value, but looking up sold prices for a few showed there is still a lot of turnover.

    • Yes especially if they are in new / pristine (mint) condition both disc & case.
I have purchased some around the prices you mentioned since it was simply the only option.
As long as the disc was pristine I was willing to buy.

It takes more work to inspect & list each individually, but that’s how people searching for specific CD’s will find them, and be willing to pay extra.

    • Thanks for the ideas…

  • I work with a 25yo who still buys CDs, NEW cds… Like, every weekend, in a store looking at cds, hes 25… So appart from this freak. I think people still do.

  • i sold about 100 for $150 when i did a cleanout at the start of the year. These days i listen mainly digital but if i want to support the artist i'll buy the vinyl version.

  • You should use them to scare away the birds from your fruit trees, or try to sell them that way at least.
