Just announced -

Hot off the heels of Neo Geo's 30th anniversary, SNK is opening up its library to Twitch Prime members. Today, the two companies announced over 20 games would be available throughout the summer, spread across three drops. This type of venture is the first of its kind between Twitch and another video game company, but hopefully it opens the door for many more similar collaborations.

The games are available for a limited time, but once Prime members claim them, they can keep them forever.

First drop on May 26 -

  • Art of Fighting 2
  • Blazing Star
  • Fatal Fury Special
  • The King of Fighters 2000
  • The King of Fighters 2002
  • Pulstar
  • Samurai Shodown II

Second drop (date to be announced) -

  • Garou: Mark of the Wolves
  • The Last Blade 2
  • Metal Slug 2
  • The King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match Final Edition
  • Sengoku 3
  • King of the Monsters

I'd rather Amazon collaborated with existing launchers like Steam, Origin or Epic than what they currently do. I can't be bothered with it at all and I've been a twitch prime member for a long time.

    • Neo Geo emulation has been around for decades, just sayin'…

      • Snk has been updating a number of old games with rollback netcode. If it's these versions included would probably be worth a play

    • I understand your frustration with adding yet another launcher but its the only way to download your pile of free Twitch games.

    • I agree but I also find the games aren't worth downloading, especially from a launcher like amazons.

To save everyone else the FOMO I just experienced, it doesn’t start until the 26th

So I have amazon prime what is this just amazons version of steam ?, is it included with amazon prime?

    • Twitch is a service for watching game streamers.

It also includes freebie games from time to time, and bonuses for some games.

It is included with Amazon Prime.

I am new to Twitch so please bare with me.

I tried to find info already online but it appears there is no app for Twitch Prime for phones and you need to access twitch.amazon.com to claim games is that right?

There doesn't seem any mention on Amazon app about Twitch or Twitch app about Amazon/Prime so double checking my understanding is correct. TIA for clearing my confusion 😊

    • I just claim by clicking the thumbnail, ie via web browser.

Dunno why I'd want an app, but then again don't know why I'd want twitchother than free games!

There are apps for Twitch on both iPhone and Android but I cannot see a way to redeem the monthly games other than via a web browser.
You can use your FREE monthly Twitch Prime subscription on the apps though.
You just need to make a Twitch account and then link it up with your Amazon Prime account and you're all set.

      • That's what I figured thanks Crownie. Can get a bit confusing for a first timer

  • METAL SLUG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Do these games work with Mac?

  • Image Amazon mining asteroids in space, and then selling hydrogen back to earth and lastly still offering stuff to people all in exchange for money.

Geez Amazon just give us money not games, so many sell outs in today's day and age.

  • What platform are these games going to be on?

    • pc

      • Sorry, I mean which launcher? Steam or epic or something else?

        • Twitch desktop app.

Anyone accessed these yet? I can't find them.

Same. Assume its going by USA time.

      • Just checked again before bed and didn't see anything still.

  • Any idea how long these offers usually last for? I want to get both using the trial but dont want to sign up now incase the second drop is 30days+ away.

    • Says offer ends Jan 1.

I just logged into TWITCH on the web, scrolled to the bottom and there were two of the games.. claimed, refreshed and there were another two of the games, refreshed again, you get the idea.
