  I've been looking to upgrade to a Sonos home theater setup - on their website all of the packages include 2 Sonos SL speakers, instead of the Sonos One in this deal.

  Question - what's the difference? And is there any advantage to the Sonos One over the SL in a home theater setup?

  Not familiar with the Sonos range so any help would be appreciated.

    How is Sonos One SL different from Sonos One? One SL does not include microphones and therefore does not have built-in voice control. Otherwise, the two speakers share the same features.

    If you need Sonos One for rear speakers in home theater, go with SL and save money.

      Yep. and when paired as rears there is no voice assistant functionality anyway.

      Ok go with the ikea/Sonos speakers.
      I picked up a pair for this reason and I’m really impressed with them so far.

        Yes, Ikea Sonos are the best option for rear speakers. I got this set up as well

        Can vouch for these … they are great and a cheap addition to any Sonos system. I use mine as PC speakers (linked to my Mac with Airplay) … working great.

      I don't get how it is practical to have rear speakers for most people. Australian houses tend to have a terrible lack of power points so my guess is for most people it wouldn't work.
