Crazy how old this is and it's still inferior to the original ARMA 2 mod.
and the mods of the mod; epoch was fun.
the mod was fantastic. still going. the standalone only ever had the small benefit initially of being a separate game not tied to servers but to an account. they squandered all it's potential early on. when rokket left it lost any hope of becoming the mod.
It's only been 7 years, still alpha level game, who knows how good it will be in another 7 years
They stopped supporting it recently I believe.
Some of the modded servers are pretty alright

This is the game that got more hate than just about anything, ever, right?
No Man's Sky and Diablo Immortal (Mobile) have got to be up there.
Disagree on the latter, barely hear about it. NMS still gets brought up whenever a new update is posted.

Its a dead game that was a scam, the mod was peak dayz.
The time is important, a lot of the smaller niche titles need mid-late afternoon until they start to flourish. RS2 Vietnam is a similar title, not dead in the slightest and has a very active community but requires mid-late afternoon.
