I think this will be one of those things where the reality is far less than the hype…

DC just doesn't do their movies well at the minute. They're killing it (mostly) with their TV universe, but the decisions they make in the movies seem to just be terrible.

Joss Whedon is hardly a hack, and knows what he's doing - and Batman Vs Superman was hardly a fantastic flick.

BVS was one of the better ones
but i totally agree DC is not doing great things of late
WW and AM were great films but they rushed to create a universe and compete with Avengers etc
They should of taken their time and slowly built the franchise

Gotta say as well that I've been (mostly!) presently surprised by the TV universe casting as well. When I heard that Grant Gustin, and later Melissa Benoist were coming in my first thought was that it was going to be terrible - I mean, Glee superheroes? Really? But I was VERY wrong, and I think that Flash has been pretty amazing (best adaptation of him yet - as well as most of the supports, Reverse Flash, Vibe, Killer Frost etc), and Supergirl has been really good too!

    • Agreed, like no matter how much they cut of Zack's direction from the original don't think it'll change it.
And this is coming from a huge DC fan.

Wish they could step up to the same quality as their DC Animated Movie Universe.

Guessing they knew they'd make back the US$20mil they gave him to finish it.

The extended cut explained a bunch of things from the theatrical, which was stupid to see that no one watched the theatrical cut and went "that wasn't explained earlier!".

2 different directors with different visions was bound to have a mixed result. Will be nice to see how just it was originally envisioned. It won't have the "wow" that it might have had if we hadn't already seen it, already know the story-line, but could be interesting. Pretty sure there were whole side character stories that were completely skipped on the original cut (if I remember correctly there was an Aussie actress who was annoyed because their role was completely cut).
