Trade winds.
Fresh is best. Recommended by Japanese who should know, I've eaten freshly caught Uni in Northern Hokkaido, at Wakkanai & Rishiri Island.
Delicious memories. But no delivery to Brisbane. Only local pick up in Perth. Found local store lists it cheaper - but no stock.
Mate which store can I find sashimi grade Urchin
Another Brisbane local (southside) would like to know this too.
Anyone also know good Japanese grocery stores beside Fuji Mart and Genki Mart?
@Obake: Google it. Found like four forums talking about this on the first page. I personally liked the look of this one: https://seaurchinharvest.com.au/collections/sea-urchin
@TogTogTogTog: Unfortunately only commercial quantities (20 tray min) - airport pick up only in Brisbane or Gold Coast.
Stores in Sydney, Sydney region & Melbourne (but still 10 tray min).
They may know of retail outlets.
Sashimi grade $18.90/100g
Underwood, Brisbane. Also in other cities.
https://ichibajunction.com.au/products/detail.php?product_id…Hopefully they'll restock soon!
@INFIDEL: Also Product of Chile
Will not let me ship only pickup
Sorry, we only deliver to the Main Perth suburb at the moment. Other suburb or city will be pickup only.
Well your website banner is very misleading then isn't it?
"Japan Express - Japanese Grocery Online Shop Delivery to Australia Wide."We do deliver Non-Frozen / Refrigerate items to Australia wide. Currently Frozen / Refrigerate puroducts only available in Perth main suburb. This will extend to other City in future.
Must say that pic isn't the most appetising. Looks like the aftermath of my dog doing his business in the morning in the backyard…
That was uncalled for. I'll never be able to look at sea urchin sashimi the same way agai
Many wonderful foods don't look or smell great.
Telling Uni lovers, that it looks like crap won't go down well.
It's the buttery smooth deliciousness that sets Uni apart. Eaten straight from the shell is wonderful, like eating oysters straight from the sea - can't get much better.
From Chile, to Japan, to Brisbane.
That's one well travelled crustacean.
