Don't have any cameras, but I would guess powered with battery backup is the way to go
Correct. This is what a UPS is for.
I simply bought a power company compatible lock for my meter box.
That's interesting - do you have any info on the lock?
You can buy your own keylock and provide the energy company with the key code. That's the cheapest option
I'm in WA. They're called WAS (Western Australian Services) locks here. I'm sure there's an equivalent in your state.

I just connected the red power wire to the meter…
good idea mate
surely if any key maker can make a standard lock, then thieves can also get that master key?
Guess what? Your modem/router and access points also require power. If your mains gets turned off it all goes.
I assume these are better quality than no brand 1080 wifi cams on amazon etc?
You should never assume.
Hi there - I did a google search for reviews and noticed that these cameras are selling on eBay for approx $48 each. Not sure if this is the same thing or reliable seller?

The postage kills the deal.
ahh i see! the postage says its free for me
Bought a pair today, will see how it compares to my xiaomi units.
Please let me know. I'm looking at the SCA Eufy2c deal.. but it would be nice to backup the eufy in a couple of locations with an actual streaming camera rather than just motion clips.
Got mine today. It’s very similar to my xiaomi. Bit faster to load and no lag when viewing it over 4g. Interface looks like a xiaomi copy too. For the price it’s a good unit.
Only think I don’t like is the location of the SD card. Will be buying 2 more and putting it in my warehouse.
Now to find a good deal on the sd cards.
Received mine today. Fast shipping. Camera is packed individually which means you can sell the second camera if you want.
Setup is easy. Functions are pretty straight forward. Nothing fancy but the exterior materials look cheapish.
If your phone screen size is small like my SE, you will need to scroll down to find the next button during setup otherwise you will wonder why the setup is not moving forward.
Is there any offer for this cam currently, i am looking to get one but missed on this one
This has been a deal for a while at Centre Com. Battery-powered cameras are better! All someone has to do is turn your mains off and your cameras are expensive paperweights.
Food for thought!!!
