My brother is using the HP Omen 17 (2018 version) at the moment and it quite bulky. This new HP Omen is 22% thinner and lighter.
I decided to buy this instead of Alienware m17 R2 due to the price difference. Plus the GPU in this one is a full one not MAX-Q.
i have the same omen with gpu 2080, paid 2780. feels cheap, its very plasticky and touch marks are very visible, got it with really bad background light bleed, customer service does not exist and they dont recognize this as a problem, this is my last purchase of HP product for sure. says its bang and olufsen audio but my 10 year old dell had better speakers. also hp has the only bios that does not support XMP, and raid controller does not work. upgraded ram to 32gb and got another same ssd. not to mention it overheats really bad, had to undervolt cpu and get a cooling pad and 2x vacuum coolers for the rear to actually be able to play gpu demanding games.
