Geotel Note Calls Not Working on Boost Mobile

Hey guys, I've got a Geotel Note that has worked fine on Optus and Catch. Recently ported to Boost Mobile and I can't call out and calls to the number go straight to voicemail. Can send and receive SMS and surf on 4G. I've checked the SIM on another phone (Samsung Note 3) and calls work fine. So it seems like there's a band support issue with the Geotel Note. However Kimovil states that it supports:

  • 4G: B1 (2100), B2 (2600), B3 (1800) and B7 (900) but not B28 (700)
  • 3G: B1 (2100) but not B3 (850)

I guess not supporting those 2 bands listed above explains the issue with calls? How can I check which band is my Boost sim trying to use with mobile calls? Is there a way to force it to use a particular band that the phone does support?

EDIT: I changed the Preferred network type to 3G only and I get no service.

EDIT2: Signal Spy is saying I'm connected 3 (1800) on 4G

  • 850 is Telstra 3g. They also use band 28.

    • So are you saying where I live, I have to connect to B3 (850) for calls? The B1 (2100) isn't available where I am?

  • -1

    B5 850 is mandatory for Telstra 3G

  • And I'm sure there is no more 2100mhz on 3G as Telstra closed it down to make way for 5G

One day Optus and Vodafone will follow
